Thanks! Close up for the Custodian can be found in the Gothicomp submission thread. Maybe I'll add some more later.... Painting guide: The scheme isn't complicated, just white is such a ****. Hull: Undercoated white (standard GW spray !) lines: black ink 'light blue parts' (like bridge): space wolves grey highlighted with very very watered down skull white. Engines, turrets & stubs: shadow grey with codex grey highlight 'dark blue parts' (like Tau symbol): regal blue, edges painted mithril silver, highlighted with enchanted blue. Other dark blue parts had no silver involved. Varnish: glossy! This gives a real good effect, photo doesn't show it. But it gives the white a metallic effect. |

For some weird reasons I always thought that tau equipment (including space ships) would be plastic polymers, not metal. Weird. You just reminded me about that. Cheers, Xavi |
