My ork fleet is incomplete.  I do not have brute ramships.

Since I want WAY TOO MANY of them,  I decided to convert them.

So,  I will use some old style EPIC battlewagons to use for the base.  I trimed the wheels and added some engines.

But,  I feel that soemthing's missing.

Has anyone converted Ramships and could post a picture for inspiration?

I think I am taking 50 of them

Hi Phindar,

I'm including a photo of some Ork BFG ships I converted into Bommas.

Ork Bommas were part of the early E-A Ork lists. I miss 'em!

Shalom,
Maksim-Smelchak.

Excellent conversion, Maksim!

Hi WN,

That's high praise from you, a guy I consider to be one of the masters of conversion!

Shalom,
Maksim-Smelchak.

I think one thing to keep in mind when doing Ork Ships is Random is your friend. If they are too symetrical then they loose the Ork feel IMO.

One of the best ships I have seen was made from a Dice Box. The clear one Dice Sets come in. He started with that, lots of bitz, and some puddy. When he was done, It looked great.

Just my .02

I am building my ramships for BFG using EPIC battlewagons for the body. ?I have a ton of them and desperatly need escorts.

So, ?these are 4 different shapes and would appreciate the advice of which one looks better.
Also, ?if you have any ideas, bring them on!

I am looking for something simple. ?I will build some 50 of these and I don't want to spend a lifetime doing so.

These are just "drafts"

So, ?what do you think?

BTW. ?Great conversion maksim! ?thanks for sharing

The look pretty sweet. I like the one that uses a 40K Ork blade as a ramming spike best of all.
I reakon u should model your plasticard spikes to a simular size, and have them in sets of two or three.

Creative conversions, phindar. I would never have thought that battlewagons would make good spacecraft.

EDIT: I just noticed I've been promoted. Yay!

These ships were made by a member of the Anargo Sector Project called CELS:

Perhaps a new idea to look into?

Really nices ships there,  thanks for sharing!

When you live where I do,  you have to be creative for 2 reassons:  Models are overpriced and imposible to find.  So,  I am trying to use the least amount of bitz possible and I am guessing that those ships are even more expensive than actual ramships.  ???
