Well, got some more troops painted up. I still need to base them so the bases are unfinished.

Two armies and two sets of figures.

Enjoy.

First is my Monrovian Regulars.

This army is my base army. Olive Green for the most part. These guys have been at war with Grognia for about 100 years off and on.

Here is a team of Power Armor:

Here is the box. It is a 80 figure Chessex case. By using the inserts to cut a small devide I turn them into 160 figure cases.

So, two layers later I have quite a large number of Monrovians.

Just as a side note, these are some of the tanks that will be supporting the Monrovians.

Next, I owned a large batch of the old Ral Partha 15mm Power Armor troopers. They are quite a bit thinner then the GZG 15mm stuff. But I like them too much not to use them. So I made them an Alien Race.

Here is a shot of the troops:

Again, using the 80 figure case to make a 160 figure case....

Thank You Sir!

And yes, L4 and I are on the same page when it comes to "No Clowns" in our armies. The only brightly colored stuff I have is Titans (Too large to hide anyway in my view) or I received painted already.

I bought them with Stargrunt in mind, but in the last few months I have been shifting my thinking toward Two Hour Wargames rule set. I bought a copy of their Chain Reaction 2.0 and was very impressed with them. For a game that is simple and quick the final outcomes feel realistic enough for me to live with. At this point they are finalizing their SciFi set called 5150 and I may try those out.

I also like the rule set from Force XXI called Combat Warrior.

But they are a little more complex and thus slower.

I have also thought about doing a slight morph of Dirtside and Stargrunt to allow larger battles but still keep the dice based rules.

But the bottom line is, I am going through a rules reevaluation for the moment. ?:p
