Bit drab, but that's the way it should be. Needs a Union flag, though... ![]() |

I think it looks fine. What you may want to do ais base it and add water all around it. The blue of the water will contrast with the iron of the ship thus making it stand out more. Thanks |

Nice Tusc V! Naval basing can be a pain and Ive tried several methods. The best one Ive found is with a bow wave and a rippled wake made with white glue and painted in foamy light blue and white for a nice churned up water effect. This could be very nice with the paddlewheel steamer in particular. |

Looks really cool Vanvlak! You've wetted my appetite for another ironclads game! Let us see a pic when you have put a base on it. |

Nice looking monitor, Van. The smokestack does look historically accurate. |

That's not a Monitor, that's a Casemate Ironclad. [/nitpick] Looks good, but definitely needs Old Glory waving from the stern, and the Union Jack up forward. On a tangent, how do you guys base ships, or do you base them at all? They don't really need bases to sit flat (except the small-scale tin cans), but it would help protect the finish some. |

Good point, Lion, it's not a monitor. Silly me for not catching that since I do know the difference. |

Head hangs in shame, of course - sorry guys, I was too pleased with it to know what I was saying. I am giving myself the lash for this. Oh the shame! ![]() ![]() ![]() The flags will be made in batch format when I get more ships done... |
