the November White Dwarf, 311, UK edition, includes a warhammer army list for Heinrich Kemmlers Army of the Cairns, an undead army similar in some ways to Vampire counts, but with interesting twists. Now I've never been one for special characters (and this army has 2 - Lichemaster Kemmler and Krell, a Wight) or non-tournament armies, but the inclusion of Simulacra - walking statues - as a core choice ?
has tipped the scales for me. I always liked the Undead, anyway, and many of the units can be adapted to a normal VC army. I do not have the Heinrich Kemmler or Krell models, so I opted for a twist to the tale: the 'Young Heinrich' army. HK is far younger and more inexperienced here, and his chief wight is not Krell, but Rosencrantz, who bears Krell's axe. Guildenstern will of course be my obligatory Barrow King choice. So far my Krell-alias, Rosencrantz, is complete. Here he is. ?
