Hmm.. I am only able to post 3 pictures in one message so I will add more pictures to following messages. Anyway, these are pictures of gaming table project I share with Teekkari. We have one foldable table and terrain features to accompany that. Board measures roughly 4' x 8'. First few pictures are from battlemat gluing phase. On two first battlemat slices we used way too much glue, so other half of the table looks much better than the other. As you probably can see, board is constructet from 4 equally sized Solimate(Dow Blueboard) pieces. Which are then taped together using duct tape. Continued in next message ... |

... Behold the Imperial Golf Course!! You should be able to see four Land Raiders in there to give board some scale. Some ruins under construction. We have 15cm by 15cm plastic squares and to those we glued those Plastic ruins. Picture from our first game with board almost finished and most of our city pieces finished. Our To Do -list: -Streets and roads -Hills -Trees -Rivers -Trenches Although trenches will probably be made in near future, Teekkari has watched way too many WW1 movies lately:) Comments and questions appreciated! |

We plan to make roads from same plastic board as bases for those ruins are. But we haven't decided yet on material for making them. Mat is from local hobby store. It's not actually called battle mat, but was something like flower-grass-mat:) Anyway, it is made by German model train scenery manufacturer Noch. I tried looking for it from their product database was down as of writing this, so I was unable to do it. Main reason for choosing this over GW's one was size, they came in handy 2' x 4' pieces, where as GW's own is 6' x 4'. So there was no need for precutting it. And we didn't need to buy any extra. Edit: Oh, and i have more, and bigger if needed, pictures from that game of ours. So just ask and I'll try to post em. |

ROADWAY 100% PLASTICARD: - Alternately, you could use all plasticard, but it would be a little more expensive. |
