Not sure how many of you might have seen this yet but eveidently this is the concept art for an Ork Stomper for 40k. Theres a fair amount of discussion as to whether it's from GW in Plastic or FW in resin but either way it's quite the departure from the "Thimbles with Legs" Epic style ones. |

The thought that occured to me after seeing the pic here was it's the natural "evolution" of a Mega-Armour Nob in terms of size and shape. I mean to the best of my knowledge theres never really been a canon explanation for the existance of "stompas" unlike Gargants so... if the intermediate stage is between a "pot belly" Mek-boy Gargant and a Mega aromour Nob... This isn't actually that bad a concept... And if that isn't revisionist enough for you I have a great explanation why the Imperial Guard should be allowed to Teleport with Distortion Cannons...

I am not such a fan of this, I have to admit. It is nice, but I just cant see the Orks being able to put together something that can turn such a burst of speed so easily. It looks too well put together! |
