Ok, I must confess I've never heard from this. BUT: the plasma gun looks just like the one the plastic Ork boyz have. The Ork faces are definitely Citadel style.

And Darkone seems to be bidding on this one...  }:)

Me too...now

Heres what it said though:
"Here we have an unreleased miniature for Adeptus Titanicus and EPIC Warhammer 40,000. This is an Ork Walker Tank, sculpted by Citadel Designer Colin Dixon, and it was never released commercially -- apparently, it was felt to be too silly for the Orks. The crew compartment is bristling with Orks, and one wields a massive Pasma Gun. The miniature is about 3/4 of an inch tall, and it is in perfect condition. A rare and unusual figure, the Ork Walker Tank is a real prize for any fan of Warhammer Epic, Orks, or GW oddities. Note, there is only ONE of these models being auctioned (the only one I have ever seen), but there are 2 photos to show both sides of detail. This mniniature comes from the personal collection of Chris FitzPatrick, ex-GW studio sculptor, and it is guaranteed authentic."

Very interesting. I've never seen or heard about it before but that certainly doesn't mean that it can't be for real :)

Cheers! :)

Was just logging on to post about this one too... :D

Certainly looks genuine to me, especially as it is being sold by a GW insider.

I never heard of it either, but it certainly looks like a GW mini.

Folks -

Try this link. The originally-posted link wasn't working for me, so I edited
the text of the link and did a brute-force search for the item-number.
Viola! :;):

The page is still up.  For some reason, I can never get an Ebay link to work from here.  Just do a search on the item number:

5236479744

Incidentally, Doug is the current high bidder.  Everyone who is shocked can stand on their head, and whistle Dixie. :D

Edit:

Or, maybe Larry will beat me to it and just post a working link...

I concur Krooza! And people say GW makes bad marketing decisions - here's an example of one they got right  :D

Nonetheless as an ancient epic design concept it has a place in the history I guess - good luck Darkone! I hope he gets it a helluva lot cheaper than the beetles  :;):
