Popped into Games Workshop Glasgow and was impressed to see Epic Blisters and Box sets (and the rules) on sale. Also impressed with a fantastic 40K scale Gargant.

Less impressed as they didn't have Swordwind or Fanatic #8 or #10 which is what I wanted.

Hi!

I remember the old armorcast 40k scale titans, great stuff. The gargant in particular was ever to so big and quite detailed.

Working on a squad + character of Plague Marines, for a Nurglish 40K army for a tournament on Sunday, hoping to appease old Father Nurgle and get rid of my recurrent flu......
Being a very conservative and true-to-GW fluff person, I'm painting them RED. So there.

I'm also worrying about my lack of progress in To6G... :(

Heheh, I'm a bit of a sucker for "old school" stuff myself. I was thinking about assembeling a small marine army in addition to my Ultramarines. While I think a Dark Angles army would look awsome I also really want to do a small pre-heresy force... You know: Tactical Marines in Land Raiders and Capitol Imperiali, that sort of thing.
...Speaking of which: I don't know why but I've really gotten a thing for massive land transporters lately. I was thinking of doing a very large "gothic" style CI ...and even better: a Chaos CI! :p

Besides dreaming I've been cleaning up my workbench a bit today... Somehow the place still looks a mess ??? ?Anyway I dug out a BFG fleet carrier I'm working on and aded a few more details. Still need most of the rear section and engines but I think its coming along nicely.

Yeah, those Armorcast models were pretty nice. Not much compared to Forge World's current stuff but still pretty goof. The very best armor cast model I've seen was a Nurgle Reaver titan. The guy who converted it had contacts with Armorcast so he got all he miscast parts. -Perfect for Nurgle stuff!

Cheers! :)

This Gargant was scratch-built out of plasticard. Really impressive job and if I had a camera I would have taken a picture.

I've freehand labeled a few ships for my Chaos fleet; a job I hate and have been putting off for a few days now! :;):
Only the Repulsive and a few escorts to do now though....

I also took the finished lay-up of 4 ply sheets out of my former today; ready to shape the Mk2 board; been doing tons of writtern work for this school project as well; the week Friday deadline is looming fast! :O

I have 2 40k IG tanks sat on my comp tower looking at me. Methinks I should finish them at some point soon.

And my 3 TOSG Sword frigates, which still need the gold doing on the prow.....

All I have to do is the "final inspection" of my 3 DA Flak Tanks and spray them with Testor's Clear Flat and they are off to the Motor Pool !     :D   Then back to Angor Wat, giant mushrooms, etc., etc. !   :;):

Full agreement, Primarch! While the A/C titans weren't as detailed as the FW ones, their prices were also
about 1/3 what FW now charges! ?:o ?:o ? IIRC, I bought my beautiful Revenant for about $90... ?:o

Which reminds me... if anyone is interested, I have a full run of the fanzine "Inquisitor"
(published by Tim DuPertuis/ArmorCast) that I've decided to sell/trade off.
Drop me a line if interested.... :D

Looking forward to seeing it 5th :;):

I've done some basic paint jobs on a few Khorne units; E40k stands of Blooodletters and Fleshhounds. Just Red over a white undercoat with a scab red wash followed by en even thinner black/scab red wash. Finally touch up the detail with blood red again and add a tiny bit of blazing orange to the top highlights. Still need to do the detailing but with such relatively few units it shouldn't take long.

Cheers! :)
