OK, thanks to V, I thought I would start a thread where we could post pictures of our work areas etc.

Now, just so no one has to feel odd about showing there areas, I would go first as I know mine is a mess.

So without further discussion, here is dafrca's work areas:

My Desk

To the left of my desk is the boxed projects and things.

You call THAT a mess? I'll take pics of my workstation tomorrow (hopefully after removing an almost-complete mess of lesser Nids (11 of them) out of the way. Well, those, and some secret project stuff... :blues:
Questions for Dafrca:
Pic 1 - do you threaten recalcitrant models with that pistol? :o
Pic 1 - what's the floating dark red beastie in the rear left corner? And the red blocky thing a little ahead of it?
Pic 3 - Are those Warlords done on the low shelf?
Pic 4 - ID ALL figures please! Curious! :D

Questions for Dafrca:

Fire Away

Pic 1 - do you threaten recalcitrant models with that pistol? :o

Why no I do not. That is what I have the 9mm for. :;):

Pic 1 - what's the floating dark red beastie in the rear left corner? And the red blocky thing a little ahead of it?

I assume by floating you mean the thing with the spider legs. It was a toy given with Kids meals at Burger king when the movie Wild Wild West came out. I picked up a few of them and have slowly traded away most of them. That is my last one.

The other ?red blocky thing? is a Micro Machine Sand Crawler from Star Wars.

Pic 3 - Are those Warlords done on the low shelf?

Not all of the minis on the lower shelf are Warlords. In fact, there is a Giant Red Dragon, a Gold Dragon, A demon just to name a few.

Pic 4 - ID ALL figures please! Curious! :D

Oh my, well let?s see:

Starting from the right, Box has eight Heavy Gear waiting final assembly and paint. In front of the box is three Micro Machine versions of the LCAC. Great for Epic by the way.

To the left of the box is a paper plate holding some bits that I just stripped paint off of. In front of the Paper Plate is set of three walkers I do not know who made them, but they are waiting for me to arm them and paint them. In front of the walkers is a bundle holding some new IG Support Stands I just received from an Ebay Win.

To the left of the paper plate is three trays and a box lid. Starting at the top is a tray with Eldar troops, Falcon Tanks (First Edition Plastic), Eldar Support Platforms, Eldar Flyers, Eight IG Supper Heavies, A Company of IG Mech Troops, an IG artillery company, A Marine T-Hawk in Ultra Marine blue, and some bits. Next down is a box lid with some 15mm SciFi troops (30), six British Command cars from Old Glory that are about to go into conversion hell and come out SciFi Riot Vans, Some new scale Heavy Gear that will most likely get sold off, and two Star Wars Tours drop ships (can?t see them). Next two trays have the bulk of my IG tank Companies.

Thanks Dafrca, it is nice to know that I am not the only one who works in quality squalor conditions of my own making!  :D

Thanks for the info Dafrca- busy! The spider beastie looks interesting. But the 9mm shot concept could be wasteful - what bits are left after an execution for conversion? :(

BTW I actually started cleaning a few layers of mess off before I took the photo, then decided to stop in the interests of honesty :p

I dunno Markconz, thats hardly what I'd call a disgrace...

where are the flecks of a thousand paintjobs?
the piles of filings from a thousand conversions?
The coffee rings?
The chocolate wrappers?

:D

You already have MADE the conversion:
"Titan remnant, after being targeted by orbiting enemy Heavy cruisers for kinetic strikes...."   :D

Here is my workstation

It *lives* in the hall cupboard alongside the coats and the buggy...

Underneath are my storage units, two of them each with three drawers with my current gaming stuff in.

The majority of my gaming stuff lives in the garage, what you see here is my working desk.

What I usuallu do is drag it out and work on the kitchen table.

Well I do have cleanups every couple of months... and even clean the desk of coffee stains  :O  Funny you mentioned chocolate wrapper - that was one thng that went into the rubbish jujst before I took the photo...  :p

Having a clean desk I can be a lot more productive... before any big project (like painting a whole army) I have a big clean up  :D
