Been working on finishing my 40K Mirco Fighta resently. Started life as an old Citadel paintpot. Pics of it in different stages of build can be seen here... http://f1.pg.briefcase.yahoo.com/bc....hoo.com Here it is on its base. Ive used one of the large round bases and a bit of wire from a coat hanger. To make it more stable I glued lots of bitz of lead to the base "mostly cut offs from old Epic models" and then cover them in Miliputt so it looks like an outcrop of rock. I used this methord as it makes the base nice n weighty without it being too thick. The wire goes into the side of the fighta coz the large bomb was in the way. Ive angeled the fighta into a turning/driving position to make it more dramatic. Ive also added some small fuel tankz to the wing tips. |

Next up is some color! Undercoated in Chaos Black and then a few light spray coats of Blood Angle Red. BloodAngle Red is a very bright red but when used lightly on a black base coat it looks more like Scab Red. This is much quicker than painting Scab Red or simular color on with a brush. Also because its applied as a spray it leaves the reseses darker than the raised surfaces. PS.. I only just found this out myself so I thought Id share |

Ive blacked over all the bits that aint gona be red More black will be needed to make it look Goff, but Ive done all the bitz I know wont be red for now and Ill blacken some of the panelz later. |

Dry brushed some BoltGun onto the black. To add some depth and genraly give the red a battle dirty look Ive applied a wash of dark brown. Washs and inks dont cover spray paint very well, it just settles in puddles so a thin coat of scab red was applied first. |

Thanx guyz! Next up is some Blood Red highlights. Thats the red stuff pretty much done. Ill dirty it up a bit so it looks weathered. Rule wize I want to give it a limited number of turns as it cant hold much fuel and have it perform a Kamakarzy move on its final attack turn. I was thinking maybe Ill do something like 1st Attack... unloads its Big Shootaz into chosen target... Shootaz are spent. 2nd Attack.. drops Bomb on chosen target... Bomb spent. 3rd Attack.. Crashs into chosen target... Waaaagh!!! "1st n 2nd attack can be either" Movement n armor will be the same as a normal FightaBomba So it doesnt have to look very weathered or battle damaged az its most likely any battle its involved in would be its first and last |

Another way is to use it as Grot Bomb Launcha with an additional shooting attack just before it hits its target. Love the model. |
