I picked up a bit of a bargain from my local indy retailer on Friday - Space Marine + Renegades, with lots of old random models, for ?20.

However, I can;t work out what some of them are for, or when they were released. If anyone can give me a hand, that'd be cool.

The first and third models appear to be plastic, while the other two are metal.

I'm pretty cure these are old Knights, but I'm not certain.

I haven't got a clue.

dafrca> I knew about SoL, but it seems to be missing stuff from the 2nd ed Epic period, for some reason.

I quite like the SM with Mole Mortar, as a 1 piece metal type job, I just have no idea what I'm going to do with half the stuff in this box (which includes drop pods, old Whirlwinds, etc), but 'tis cool to have it :)

Normaly it is the other way around. I find these posts after others have answered them. Was nice to be able to do it.  :D

SOL is a volunteer site, they work with what is given to them. If you have catalog pages etc from other eras, I am sure they would allow them to be posted.

Trade Bait comes to mind of a great use for stuff like that.

Hi!

This reminds me of a project that has found renewed vigor on the netepic list...

..to compile a "book" with all epic minis past and present.

It may be worth all our efforts to produce such a comprehensive file. :)

Well, I'm gonna (eventually) have a look at what I now have and what I won't be using at any point (original plastic Land Raiders, for instace), and then set up a post in Trades.

It won;t happen for a bit, but hey ;)

Oh, and that sounds like a great idea, primarch. I'll help where I can, but 'twill probably be limited :(

This is a great idea. Pictures too. The book needs to have pictures.

Painted or unpainted, dafrca?

Are we talking a "bitz" breakdown, plus a painted pic of said figure, for instance?

Wow you think big!

I can not imagine what a project like that would take.  :o
