Thanks for reply, Tuff 'un! I'll have look at the 10mm Eagles. The Skirmishers are also a good idea; I'll, just alter their hairdo a bit.
If you find the escaped URL, please share it. It sounds just what I need, since I'll have to do quite many conversions.

I just added a picture to my little workbench site with a size comparrison shot for the Pendraken eagle.
Top row: Demonworld knight, Lancashire games Sword & bucklerman (medieval range). Middle row: Irregular miniatures 15mm Elephant crew & Tin soldier (I think) Organ gun crew. Bottom row: Pendraken dwarf warrior and Alternative Armies Elf bowmen.
Having done the comparrison, it is more of a hawk size than eagle which is dissapointing to me, but it means it fits the bill for you OK ?
(edit)Oh, and I cant find that URL, but I've enquired around various sources & Should be able to come up with it soon

Quote (Legion 4 @ 08 2003 May,03:22) | GZG makes some good 6mm troops for DS. But they are a little expensive. I bought them, sold some, kept most. ?Going to see what the new plastic/metal/crystal/resin/adamantium/gold/diamond Epic figs will look like ... oops ! ... slipped into Sardonic Mode ! And then I might sell them to you lot at cost ... ? | I have a load of GZG minis. They are the best non-GW 6mm infantry out there , in my opinion. They do a good variety, are not too expensive (for metal) and have very cool irregular shaped bases.

I'm going to use GZG Krava'k (sp.?) as Kroot Kindred, and the NAC & NSL Inf. might make good PDF or Stormtroopers. But I'm going to wait and see what G/W releases ...

Hi!
I second the recommendations for GZG figures. They make great proxies for space marines or even terminators using powered armored troops. Their non-powered armor troops are excellent IG/PDF forces.
They have a "bugs" blister that would make real good tyranid proxies too.
Like Legion4 I have thought the kra'vak would make good kroot proxies.
Their walkers are also very good for dreadnoughts of various types.
All in all GZG is a very good line for proxies.

GZG power infantry also make good Termies also
Adler make some superb 6mm SF inf and vehicels in their "Dark Star" line, but they are rather expensive next to GZG. Nice, but expensive

Yes, Adler has some good figs too, and the GZG bugs look like the ones in the Movie - Starship Troopers. ?
Which reminds me, read the book and Avalon Hill made a great board game to go will the book years ago. Both are worth a look. ?
Like I said before, there are a lot of fairly decent 6mm models out there. ?
GW Beware...

Hi!
I think the biggest problem with alternate 6mm companies is the lack of pictures of their figures. I have still to see pics of scotias 6mm sci-fi lineof most of Irregulars stuff. I have been trying to get pictures for years, but short of buying them for this purpose its difficult.
Oh, Gladiator makes some cool figs suitable for tyranids and Tau.

I think our shelves of "golden favourites" would be very similar L4. Lemme guess you used to play other such games as Turning Point Stalingrad, dabbled in Squad Leader for awhile and still have a battered copy of Panzerblitz somewhere

Hmm, let's see: I own both blitz and leader as well as Stalingrad and assortment of other boardgames. I've played ASL and own 8 of the 11 modules in addition to HASL modules 1 and 4 + SASL.
Of course, I am an old fart by today's standards (31 within a month) so this will probably not count.
Anybody played Nato, Nukes & Nazis, Tomorrow the World or Seven Seas to Victory, BTW?
