I just thought of something - couldn't kroot warspheres easily be created in the same way as death wheels for Epic? Perhaps talking 4 40mm bases a couple a 20mm and maybe two 50/60mm to go in the middle?!?! What do you reckon?! Of course I do realise you'd have to add all sorts of flimsy bits afterwards.. but the model is 30? so it's worth a try, right? |

Funny you should mention this, KbD, I might have pics of a small lander based on the sphere design up by tonight in the Epic section - another oddity, of course. ![]() |

Spheres for kwoot? How Kyoote! Hee hee. [/kidding] Seems reasonable, but you could model the sphere in a retracted (ie spherical) configuration - note how those sections of the metal model are layered in such a way as to allow the ship to close up (perhaps for Warp travel...) Gary |

What about using a couple of plastic shells from "Kinder Eggs" as a basis for conversion? I don't have one in front of me but IIRC the size and shape of the plastic egg would be similar to GW model. Not to mention coming with a (tasty) ablative shell for rentry! ![]() ![]() |
