I finally did the first tests for the Imperial and Chaos paint schemes. (And I was amazed at how easy the basic paint job of BFG models are -I love it!
)Basically they're minor, paler variations on the GW fleets.
For thje Imperials I've gone for a Catachan Green heavy drybrush followed by Vile Green and Rotting Flesh for the highlights.
The Chaos ships are Scortched Brown followed by Teracotta and Terracotta/Bleached bone mix.
On the chaos ships I'm particularly pleased with the result as the red is suficiently toned down not to look too "Khorny" (sorry about the bad pun...) It should be fairly easy to make slight variations for Nurgle Daemon ships and other chaos factions.
I'm going to add the usual white pprows to the Imperial ships I think. That and gold trimmings and I think I should have a fairly simple and reasonably good looking fleet.
