Here's a quick idea I just got.
INstead of spending loads of money on GW's gothic mines you can easily get 50+ mines for something like ?1.
Use pins! You know, the ones with a small plastic ball (approx 2-0 mm across) at one end. Stick a couple of pins into whatever you are using as a base. Secure them with a bit of Superglue and simply spray black and drybrush whatever colour you like. Dead easy, cheap and not that much worse than the official models. -The nice bit is, that your mines are allready attatched to a piece of "wire" to make them float. ?
