Does anyone here own any of the Hasslefree Grymn?

What do you think of them?

What vehicles, if any, did you use with them?

Daniel

EDIT: Here is a link for those who do not know what I am talking about:

Hi Dafrca, I do not, but have heard a world of good spoken about them on the Lead Adventures Forum.
Link to LAF.

I have some & have painted many more, but I've never used them for a game, so cant comment on what vehicles to use. I have, however seen the Old Crod buggies used & they fit in quite nicely.

The Grymn themselves are wonderful models. I cant talk highly enough of the Hasslefree line at the best of times, but the Grymn is one project which Kev does as much for himself as for sales & it shows in the details. I'll see if I can dig out some pics of my painted ones....

aha! Here's the first set I did at least....

TuffSkull,

I agree, Kev seems to have a special love for the Dwarves both his fantasy line and the Grymn.

Thanks for the picture as well, I always love seeing your work.

I would love to discuss a trade. Now the real question will be: Do I have something you are interested in.  :;):

I'll send a PM.

I also really like the Scrunts by Ollys Armies, if you are a Grymn fan (and who isn't) I would definitely look into some Scrunty goodness. The Scrunt pirates and Texans are particularly good.

They do look nice.
I've bought some hasselfree mini a few month ago (some naked chicks :p ) and they're finely sculpted, but if you're used to GW sizes, they look very tiny !

The Grymn are more slender than dwarves from other lines, but are very nice minis.

They don't mix well with GW, Reaper, Privateer, or my personal favorite Black Hat's Dvarg.

Yep, I was expecting that. I did see one in a picture next to an older GW Squat. The Squat was taller and thicker.

I do not mind, I have the same issue with my GZG 25mm Stargrunt Troopers who are real 25mm when I place them next to the GW: "heroic 25mm", that became 28mm, that is now closer to 33mm then anything else.  :;):

On a side note: I have always believed the secret plan at GW is to slowly get the masses to 54mm.

While I agree that Olley's line is nice, I have to say my favorite is neither the Texans or Pirates. My favorite is the Shock Troop Scrunt Dog Handler with Skeeter the Dachshund. The first time I saw that figure I laughed so hard.

Well thanks to a real nice trade with Pixelgeek I now own some of the Grymn. For igures that are so small they hold a lot of detail. Very nice.

These are going to be a real challange.

Thanks Pixelgeek for the trade.

Daniel
