Hi all, Thanks for your support for my LED projects. ?It is fun to share, and I've got a link to my page that describes the WIP. ?You can find it here: http://members.shaw.ca/seebaran/Eldar%20BFG.htm From the link above, click on the link for "Eldritch Storm" to see how to get from here ![]() to here: ![]() The other links to my other ships won't work yet, as I've yet to create pages for them. ?Some of them you may have seen before anyways. Also, I'll plan to use this thread as a blog for my next project: ?An LED SM battle barge ![]() ![]() Thanks for looking, and of course all comments welcome. Cheers, CF |

Absurdly cool. Is the original a plastic model? You website was complaining about moved images, so I couldn't see the genesis. |

The link above is to all my BFG eldar models, but I've only posted a page for the LED one as of now. ?I assume these are the pics you are referring to. ?If not, please let me know. ?In any case, just click on the "Eldritch storm" picture, and it should take you to the proper page. ?Or, click here: http://members.shaw.ca/seebaran/Eclipse1.htm To answer your question, the original is the SG metal eldar eclipse cruiser. Thanks, CF |

Hey guys, Just finished off putting up all the current pictures for the rest of my eldar BFG models. ?You can see them all at: http://members.shaw.ca/seebaran/Eldar%20BFG.htm Most are old pics, but here is a sample of a new one: ![]() Anyways, as said above, I'm gonna switch gears now and focus on my marine BB. ?I've even ordered a sample of fiber optic strands to see if I can put them in the model. ?Will post pics of the construction soon. Thanks, CF |

Hi all, Thanks Krooza, hopefully you'll like SM's better ![]() So, the construction of my new BB is underway. ?The plan is to have lots of freehand, and more lighting effects. ? First the detail on the top of the deck was removed to provide an undistorted surface for some of the free hands. ?Similarly, some of the metal over the broadside guns was drilled off. I plan to put LED equiped plasma guns (shown in the last pic) at the front of the ship, so the front has been modified. Sorry for the large pics. Cheers, CF ![]() ![]() ![]() |

OK! ?I've been checking the mail everyday for the last few days waiting for this: Very small fiber optic lights ?(FOL) ![]() The plan is to incorporate them into the BB. ?The first 2 pics are my test piece. ?I was trying to see if I could trim the FOL after painting without damaging the paint around the holes. ?It was very difficult, and I'm not sure the best technique to use yet. ?So far I've tried: ?nail clippers, small pliers, small scissors, and of course my dental drill. None has worked to my satisfaction yet. ![]() ![]() The next pics just show the general idea of how the FOL will incorporate into the final model. ![]() ![]() Thanks for looking, CF |

Hi all, Thanks again for the kind words. ?A quick update: ?I'm currently working on painstakingly threading all the FO strands. ?The count is up to over 250. ?I'll be adding approximately 70 to 180 more by the time the construction is completed. ?Note how some of the strands are taped together. ?This helps identify the bundles during threading. ?All the strands will be trimmed flush with the hull after painting. The front bridge is made from the "real" bridge. ?The main bridge is from the imperial plastic cruisers. ?All the windows were drilled out, and FO threaded. ?It was really hard to glue the bridges in place because of the tension on the FOL. ? Thanks for looking, sorry for the big pics. CF. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Good grief - reminds me of counting cables for the Electrical fitters from my shipyard days. This look like it's going to set a whole new standard. ![]() ![]() ![]() |
