This is my BlackOrc BloodBowl team blog. After being very much inspired by this Orc Team. and this Orc Team

--DA PLAYERZ--
<><><><><>

-VARAG GHOUL-CHEWER-

Here is a WIP pic of my BlackOrc StarPlayer

Ive used Grimgor Ironhide as the basis. The weaponz and severed head have been removed, and his own head replace with a full armour helmet.
He will be the only player in the team to be equiped with such a helmet... making him look that bit more special.
Ive put a football into his open hand... his pose looks like he's commanding some other player 'to go long' so it seem quite fitting.

-BORGUT BONECUTTA-

After seeing This Guy I decided I had to have a player weilding a chainsaw!
To make this player Ive used the following...

Nob Body 9947040300402
StormBoy Nob Head
Borgut Facebeater  99060209144
Chain Weapons Sprue 9947139905602

I had to cut old Borgut in half as I only wanted his legs. And did the same to the GorkaMorka Nob body as I only needed to torso. Together thay make a nice beefy BB player that isnt too FB BlackOrc looking.
The head is that of a StormBoy Nob and the Chainsaw from the metal Weaponz Sprue.
Ive used some plastic BlackOrc bitz where needed.
Needz a bit more sculpting and hes good to go ;)

-BA'RAKK SKULL-KRUSHA-

Ive used a 40K WarBoss that I will proxied as an Ogre or Troll.
When I got him the first thing that struck me was how 'average' be looked compeared to the beefed up Nob Blockers.
Only a fraction taller and wider than the Nobs... so he needed some work.
I had intended just to widen him across the shoulders.  But I felt to get a good width that out-beefed the Nobs I would have to make him a bit taller to carry all that extra beefiness.
So I cut him in half through the waist line... removing the ammo pouch in the process... and pinned him back together.
Hes about 5mm taller now. I think his proportions look pretty good. Lengthening the body certainly helped.
After this I went over the pads with some MilliPut, raising thier profile.
Also used another shoulder pad to make a spiked NukkleDusta

-GORRAH GUTTRIPPA-

Ive used Rippa Bolgrot for my Troll though I doubt Ill use his 'Star Player' statz... I just like the model and hes only ?10 and the other BB Troll is ?12
With that said... his face isnt that fearsum looking so I swaped his head for that of a FB River Troll. Yes I know his body is a Stone Troll... but the removal of the 'hairy bitz' and addition of the helmet makez everything fit together nicely. Ive slightly changed his stance so hes not so static... which was done by simply bending one leg a bit
Ive also made him a new 30mm round base. The large 40mm square base he comes with is too big for BB as the pitch is divided up into 30mm squarez.

-BLOCKERZ-

Erez me Blockerz.
After removing all the 40K bitz I attached the arms, using 2mm spacers to make thier shoulders wider.
Then glued some shoulder pads over the shock ones... making the pads wider.
These pads needed some sculting work to get them blended together right.

-LINEZMEN-

For Linezmen Ive used WHFB Ruglud Orcs.
After removing the weaponz straped to thier backs and patching up the mess left behind I added some Ork hands and a Beakie shoulder-pad.
This pic shows the size different between my Blockerz and Linezmen.

-BLITZERZ-

Erez me Blitzers... I found these to be the most troublesum of all the players, they weren't any harder to make than the others... but just trying to find a suitable range of metal Orcs/Orkz to use as Blitzers was very differcult. In the end I found I would have to use some plastic parts if I wanted that 'dynamic' blitzer stance.
Using the GM Nob body I removed the legs and attached plastic BlackOrc ones.. this gives the Blitzers the dynamic pose they need.
Ive also attached a BlackOrc arm.. which is a perfect size. Having one 'evily armoured arm also seems very 'blitzery' to me.
The heads are from the 40K plastic Ork spure.

-THROWERZ-

Erez da Throwers. Ive used some TankBusta Boyz... quite a bit of cutting has be done to get them into a good dymanic throwing stance... so theres plenty of sculpting work to be done to finish them off ;)

--DA STAFF--
<><><><>

-GHA'RAG BONE-SMASHA-

Erez da Team Coach.

Hes a Kommando Nob. I removed his gun holster and the bulletz from his strapz.
His PK arm has been swaped for a standard Nob arm.

This lad is an old vet of the game. Made quite a name for himself... lost a hand in a rather nasty scrum with a Minotaur.
Now retired... he's turned his hand to coaching instead.

-ZUR'AK DA WEIRD-

No team can rely on strength alone. So with that in mind Ive made my team its own Wizard.
Ive used a classic Orc Shaman and made a wizardy type hat for him to make him look more humorous.
The horns on his hat are the ones I removed from the WarBoss helmet... waste not want not n all that
Still need to tidy up the sculpting work... but I think he looks pretty cool

-DAGA Mc-HERTY-

Erez me MadDok whoz job it is to fix da boyz up if they get injured...

As with the team that inspired me, Ive used the GorkaMorka MadDok. He's about the size of a normal boy... but his origanal head and arms were so small, they made him look very out of place. So Ive swaped them for some 40K bitz.

-DA GOFF ROKKAZ-

Erez me CheerLeaderz...

I decided to use the Goff Rokkaz trio instead of the more usual female Orc coz GW only make one female Orc cheerleader... and the Rokkaz need no conversion work. Also they seem more proppa to me ;)

-TICHY TOERAG-

Every team has a loyal mob of fans. The most loyal of fans may be given the honour of becoming the team's 'FanBoy'
The duties of the Fanboy range from cutting up the 'arf-time oranges... to proudly carrying the ?banner as the team walks onto the pitch.
The downside to this job is there is a long praticed tradition amounst the ?BloodBowl teams of trying to kill your opponents 'Fan-Boy' just for the fun of it ;)
Ive used a Goblin Chariot Standard Bearer and a banner from the plastic BlackOrc box set to make my FanBoy. He also serves a pratical purpose as he can be used as a 'turn marker'

-GOBBLA-

The BlackRok BroozA's team mascot is this giant spikey Squig.
Hes a slightly converted Gobbla model, with extra spikez added.
Chained to a hefty stake, he sitz on the side lines with the rest of the staff. Its not uncommon for a member of the apozing team to be 'accidently' pushed off the field into ole Gobbla'z reach... with ovious roosum resultz!
