Hi all,
have finished my astronomy test, and the project too. In a couple of weeks I'll be free of this course (I hope!). But I took some time off today and went swimming with the wife. Still warm enough for that here. Now if I can delazify myself I'll start scanning those banners...

Congrats Vanvlak. :)  Gee; I wish I could go swimming but temperatures are droppiing pretty rapidly so it won't be long before you can't walk outsside a door without freezingg your nose off :(  -The worst part is that the wind makes it impossible to spray undercoat models outside. The GF wsent berzerk the other night because I'd used the bathroom for that... :O

Cheers!

Bathroom! The wife would murder me! That's one thing which is ok here - unless it's so windy the spray gets dispresed instead of on the models.
Thanks WMN - I just hope the results will be ok ! ???

Hi all,
It's the time of year when I start planning...here are my planned armies for the next season:
Epic - Angels of Fire Space Marines - due to the uncertain state of Epic, I'm playing safe for now and starting with these Codex space marines, with a twist - although I'm painting the troops red, as per the SM guide, their vehicles will be black with red drybrush and flames.
BFG - I've finally started my Imperial Fleet, with (of all things) a fleet tanker - the grandiousely named  'Imperial Pledge' ('arf a mo, is it a tanker or a wood-polish carrier?  :p ). Pic attached.
WH40K - Necrons - a very particular army, this - watch this space
WHFB - Undecided - either Lizardmed, or - ?
PLUS - The usual plethora of projects - the 40K Spore Chimney, Dafrca's big imperial vehicle, Netepic's Batwing, Deffsta, my Warmaster undead, pink 40K Dark Eldar, etc. etc.

Well, the Phoenix Hawk is almost done par the jets and a few touch-ups on the base. Looks best of my three PHawks too, but the metallic is a bit too dark. Should have used Chainmail instead of Boltgun Metal.

The test Battle Sister is going onwards, and all metallics on the female Crusader are done now.

While listening to Hero's Return by Hammerfall, I came up with an idea of modifying the text to suit Dark Angels. Here's what I came up with:
In a time of fear and confusion,
silence charging the air
The sword is gone, chaos lives on
in the heart of the traitors' lair

Lost in a world of illusions
No trace of the missing sword
Steeling our souls, we?re out of control,
knocking at death?s door

All our beliefs fading into ashes
Heed the words that we pray

For the Lion?s Return our hearts still yearn
Rise and conquer, let the betrayers burn

Now we charge, the battle is raging,
blood runs everywhere
Our anger is fierce, avenging the years
No time for a final prayer

Behold the might of the angel,
heavenly bringer of doom
There?s nowhere to run, nowhere to hide
and so your death looms

Somewhere out there lies a new tomorrow
for me and those who believe

For the Lion?s Return our hearts still yearn
Rise and conquer, let the betrayers burn
For the Lion?s Return our hearts still yearn
Rise and conquer, let the betrayers burn

Ooooh? Ooooh?
Ooooh? Ooooh?

Now, I?ve returned from a place far beyond
My mission I set, let it be done

We still belive in a brighter future
The dreams are ours to fulfil

For the Lion?s Return our hearts still yearn
Rise and conquer, let the betrayers burn

For the Lion?s Return our hearts still yearn
Rise and conquer, let the betrayers burn

I think I am completely nuts.

Yesterday, I have finished the touch-ups on the Phoenix Hawk's base (this leaves only the jets to be painted), and began looking through some back WD issues...

Fifteen minutes later, I snapped. With a determination typically displayed only by madmen, I began painting two freehands onto my models - a laurel wreath on the Standard Bearer's right pad and the Chapter symbol on Sergeant Lucius. Both are about 50% done, look great even now.

Just remember that posting pics is mandatory even to madmen...  :p  :;):

I like your lyrics, BTW.
