Chaplain Raziel has got a shiny new "man of the match" Purity Seal (golden colour). Will try to repaint an old Sister or two soon.

Having spent the weekend searching high and low for something to strip paint I'm thinking of resorting to brake fluid (as per previous posts, by the way it would be helpful if access to these sort of threads were easier) then I can get going with my Eldar. Also spent some time on my 'secret project'

Mojarn- look through the manual for your camera and check the minimum focus distances- you don't have to have it on macro to get a decent picture, as long as you are focusing properly... make sure you get the subject in the crosshairs and have the lens at or further away from the min focus distance.. use the autofocus, then take the picture. Then I upload the picture to my pc, and, as Jimbo's 'camera settings' page shows very well, crop the unnessecary stuff off the sides- at 3.1mp you can get a perfectly good picture like this; my camera does not have a macro function, but in my opinion I don't really need it for miniature photography...

Finished a platoon of Stormtroopers and have begun re-painting a Tech Guard company in "proper" Tech Guard colours. Also working on an Epic scale Tech Priest and Ensigneer for the Command section. Both based on the Tech marine model.
Cheers!

Warhammer 40K National tournament on 8th Sept. - Legio Fausta vanilla marines backin action; if on time they'll get a new Predator. What's keeping me is work on my umpteenth 'last' Chaos warrior army, with massed foot and several light, fast cav. - am busy assembling and painting Marauder horse and spawns of Slaanesh. WH tournament is spread over 10th-11th. And then - we concentrate on the epic competition.

Woohoo! Finally managed to take a couple of decent pics. The pics are Custodian Titan 3 and 4. Obviously the only things added are the flags, which I actually am quite proud of. Link to my briefcase.

Great Titan Mojarn, still don't understand why you didn't enter it. Painted up a platoon of RR last night and practically finished part one of the secret project (apart from basing). For my very first ever green stuff job it actually turned out acceptable.

A quick Work In Progress pic of the Adeptus Mechanicus command squad. The robes still need some work but they're slowly getting there. The original Tech Marines were trimmed off most of their power armour in order to get them just a bit down in size. They still look a bit overweight though Also theyre pretty tall but I plan to build up the base a bit so the smaller models will seem taller in comparison.
Cheers!

Making a BattleFortress for Snots! So its pretty small. Uses a shorted HellHound body. "Shorted by 3cm" Is armed with a total of five turrets. Will use Armoured GunWagon rulez with a few mods.

To put it simply: it is not good enough. It rates in the upper part of "average" category but one only needs to look at last year's entries to see that it is not competition worthy.
Forgot to say: I finished a stand of Squats so my diary is picking up speed again!
