Justiniel, you're almost right - the 45 gallon drum is the balloon though! The 'sinking' drum (I think of it as something resembling a Nissen hut) is just a semi-cylindrical bit of sprue. the 'weed' is train modelling flock.

Hi all,
I spoiled the lines of Brigade's fantastic L'Epee class to come up with my French Mediterranean fleet version - the Mogador. Instead of the standard twin-gun turret, she mounts a wonder weapon - a heat ray!

The weathered wooden decks and mast have come up very nicely. Nice one John.
Who are these Orks?
Its a captured heat ray from the Martian invasion isnt it!
A nice retrofit that doesnt spoil the L'Epee lines at all.
And now you have a nice twin turrt in your conversion box too!
