Nice stuff WMN - its always so much more satisyfing playing with models you've spent so much time customising

L4 - you may find this interesting, its an article on converting Hammers Slammers to wargaming sytems:

While researching other projects today, I found this:

http://chrito.users1.50megs.com/_data/d ... msmain.htm

It a great resource for tactical markings and unit insignia, which add quite an authentic military feel to any force, but Imperials in particular.

Cheers

More Great Stuff, Tas!!! I saved it!!! ?

I'm lucky I have some old ROCO 1/87 scale transfers for my IG and SMs!!! They are OOP!!! ?

But I have a lot of other HO/OO decals left over from my Mil/modeling days too! So along with my old G/W tranfers, my IG and even a few of my SM and Squats have a real WWII feel! German, US, UK, USSR, and even French! It's all good! :D ?

Just called G/W US too, my IG C-pack is still back ordered!

Curse those Trolls!!! :O ?

Going to try to work on one of the two Snake Bitez B/Wagon mobs I've got sitting on my "production line," today! :;):

Work building up again at a terrible rate, so I have to streamline my modelling work - in order of priority:
1 - Tale of x gameras Squat IG army + Imperial fleet
2 - 40K Legio Fausta Space MArine tourney army
3 - WHFB Imperial tourney army
4 - Aeronefs! (blast it, Tas, see what you've done! - no models or rules so far, but as the latter cost just 5 quid I'm investing; and the scratchbuilding demon is nudging again...)

Predictions show that not much else will be done during the coming months, other than the old Forgeworld Spore chimney-in-progress.

No painting got done today, but filled out the TO&E of my sixth IG Rgt., the 197th Mech (designated after the last Bde I served in '86-'90). It's a unique Rgt (made up of mostly E:A and F/W models with some additional E40K Infantry), consisting of 1 Tank Bn, 1 Mech Bn and 1 Siege Bn. My other Rgts are 1 Infantry Rgt consisting of 3 Infantry Bns, 3 Mech Rgts consisting of 2 Infantry Bns and 1 Tank Bn and 1 Tank Rgt with 2 Tanks Bns and 1 Mech Bn. ?Also organized my SMs, seeing where to put all the new SM E:A models. :D ?Mostly with the UMs and the SWs got the new drop pods and landing craft. :;): Most of the E40K stuff went to the DA. :)

Well, through the weekend I have managed to get some relax.

First, modelling. Not much, but I managed to do some extra work on the Emperor's Champion. Since his sword arm broke off, I had to pin it. Meanwhile the "power feed" for his sword broke off as well. Just a matter of two shallow holes drilled and a new length of coil from guitar string and this time the feed won't break off that easily anymore. Similar thing with his gun holster. Oh, and I also drilled out the barrel of his Bolt Pistol.

Also did some minor work on the Land Speeder. Removed the guns first, because I came up with a mad idea to make it Omni. In other words, goodbye to solid-glue gun mounts, hello to soft-pinned gun mounts.
"Soft pinning" is my term for attaching parts to the model with wire hooks and pegs in a manner that allows for their easy removal and exchange. A small degree of skill with Pin Vice is neccesary for that too. Guess I found another tutorial to add ot my site. :)
Now I just need that Heavy Bolter...

Sorted out some more files. 50 Megs. This is too little - I have about 1,1 GB still left. :(

Picked out the games I have for Abandonia. A nice amount of them there, but I need to ensure they all work properly.

Played Bloodrayne. Almost completed Act 3, but an error occured in the cutscene player when I defeated first of the two final bosses and here you go, goodbye to hours of attempts :(

Played demo of Bloodrayne 2 again. I think I begin to understand the idea Majesco had when they did it, but I still don't like some changes. Going to buy the full version when it's out anyway.

Red the Gibson's original, unused script for "Alien 3". Much better then what they did use...

Totally off topic: Just noticed that my eyes began changing colour again. When I was 7 or 8 they were deep green with some brownish hints. Recently they were very light grey. Today I looked in the mirror and noticed they  began to take on a slight green tinge... chameleon eyes!

Been feeling bad today. Missed school and slept to 12 (not without my mother's knowledge). Over last week I almost constantly suffer from a diabetic's version of yo-yo effect, and wildly changing reactions to insulin. Being a diabetic sucks. Big time.

Sorry to hear that TFH, has it improved any? I've been suffering similar problems, mainly because I've had to change insulins (the old one is being discontinued, sounds like GW  )

I have started work on 3 of my 6 Leman Russ Destroyers, and my 3 Vanquishers.  Question:  What do you guys do with the old command tanks (the ones with the flag) if the Vanquisher is supposed to be the command tank now?

my 2cents,

iblisdrax

My old command tank is used for my PDF forces, they can't afford nice, new vanquishers  :)

Worked on a few things this evening, check out my Feral Ork Diary for pics and details on my Junkatrukks.

Taking inspiration from Krooza's conversion, I have decided to up-armour the Ork Skorcha I got from Christmas from my sister-in-law.

Certainly no where near the splendid models of Krooza (you the Ork) I certainly felt inspired by his models.

I also painted quite a few different models and finished off a couple of boars.

Well that would have been nice actually, a couple of cold beers.

But as you can see, just boring boars.

:D

Sorry to hear that TFH, has it improved any? I've been suffering similar problems, mainly because I've had to change insulins (the old one is being discontinued, sounds like GW ?)

It did improve a little. I had to change my glucometer just yesterday, and the new one is kind of driving me nuts. Guess it's just life.

First purchase to check off my long-term 40k list: Attack bike.
Got the new one... schweet. ?:O So many extra bits and stuff... I think that some of the webbing on the sprue can be useful for my Vindicator, and a Purity Seal or two will work wonders for my Emperor's Champion.
Heavy Bolter has just been soft-pinned to the gunner. Perfect fit. Now it'll need just a few GS touch-ups here and there and here we go...
The bike itself will come very useful for Zarathos, Champion of Malal. Naturally, not without a prodigious amount of green stuff and plasticard. ?

Being so hyped up by the new purchase, I did what I intended to do a while ago. Say hello to "The Malalite".
The survivor stands alone beneath the burning sun
Malal's temple now is his home
There's no sign of victory, he lost his purity
and everything in which be believed

A traitor chasing traitors, a rider in the night
By the starless sky he will strike
The seeker of all dangers has come to take his toll
From the dead of night he will arise

Malalite, Malalite
Committed the ultimate sin
Malalite, Malalite
This time the avenger will win

He stalks in shadow lands, soundless, with chain in hand
Striking like a demon, so fierce
No chance to get away, no time for your last prayer
When avenger sneaks up from behind

A traitor chasing traitors, the hunter takes his pray
The law of vengeance he obeys
Craving for the danger to even out the scores
Face to face, once and for all

Malalite, Malalite
Committed the ultimate sin
Malalite, Malalite
This time the avenger will win

On through the night he rides, on his raging horse made of steel
Nothing can save you now, before the malalite you will kneel

Malalite, Malalite
Committed the ultimate sin
Malalite, Malalite
This time the avenger will win

Malalite, Malalite
Committed the ultimate sin
Malalite, Malalite
This time the fifth god will win

Hammerfall was the basis, naturally. This time it was "Renegade".
