Personally I liked it.  It might be a bit over the top but heck everything in 40K is over the top so you are in good company.

If I can make any small recommendations, I would make the domes pointing in a variety of different directions.  The top ones seem to dominate the picture and they all point straight up.  The other thing is I could see some of the craftworld vessels you made flying around, but I don't think I would have seen them if I wasn't looking for them.  Not sure how to make them stand out more but I thought it was worth mentioning.  Perhaps make them a tad bigger or make one closer to the viewer (in the foreground) so your eye trains to that shape repeating throughout the piece.  Also if you made more of them they'd probably be easier to spot too.
Hope I'm not coming off as too critical.

Seriously though, great work Juddski ?:D
I think this is the most interesting BFG art I've seen, probably because of the perspective. ?My favorite so far is the blue and yellow eldar cruiser. ?I've got a few favors to request though:

1) ?Could you please post some WIP shots? ?I'd be interested how you make these pictures, as I'd have no idea how to even start going about doing something like this.

2) ?Take a look at some of "yellow one" 's work. ?His eldar stuff is certainly not conventional, but is a big inspiration for me. ?Do you think you could try to draw something like that, for BFG ships?

Well, see, I'm still collecting the bits for it. You don't get surfboards that easily in Malta, and I need 6 or 7 of different sizes glued together to make the bulk of the hull..... :p

IF storage were not an issue, I would.
A grand idea would be a Craftworld model with a huge flat surface with several domes which could be removed to reveal a battle ground - and voila', a grand games table. The different domes would be regions of a the battlefield intefonnected with wide, large tunnels through the craftworlds.
Some day I'd like to build a very small scale one, though.

Nicely done.  Although the domes are more lined up than the first, I still like it better overall.  I was trying to decribe them being on a hub-n-spoke type of set up, but perhaps this looks better.  And the ships escorting the craftworld are certainly more prominent.

The idea of making one of these craftworlds in BFG scale is crazy.  The idea of building one on Epic scale would mean you are certifiable. :)  But if I ever win the lottery I make my solemn vow to everyone that I will build a room sized craftworld and hold tournaments in it.

.hub and spoke?like 2001 a space oddessy? or rather with an eldar craft as centre(hub) and the domes around the hull (outter ring)type thingy?

I dunno.  I can sketch it in my mind for you... :)  No, seriously I think it looks good as is.  Keep in mind this is all just in my imagination.  I have nothing to base it on other than just extrapolating from the few bits and pieces I've read about craftworlds and then trying to put a shape to it.

I would see it as less like a ship (less streamlined) and more like an egg shape perhaps.  So imagine a planet shape, but an oblate spheroid instead of a sphere.  From there you could add domes and spires along its surface so that the bottom portion of each dome is perpendicular to a bisecting line through the spheroid (does that make sense?).  In other words, since they will be coming from the surface of the CW none of the dome bottoms will be parallet with each other.  The same thing for the spires.  You could probably put some odd sharp angled ship dock station on it.  Perhaps a Webway gate between two giant towers that can actually take a Dragonship or other CWE ship going in and out of it.  If you wanted to put a 'back' to the CW you could put some giant sweeping fins on the back half, I don't know.  The surface that isn't covered in domes and spires wuld be overlapping smaller egg shapes that would make it look curvy and artificial, but still alien.

Nevermind, I am just rambling.  It looks good as is. :)

A Craftworld has several full battlefleets stationed around the Craftworld. All attached to large wraithgates which the whole fleets can use.

A battlefleet consists of 12-20 warships, excluding escorts.

Check the Doom of the Eldar PDF at www.specialist-games.com under the BFG rulebook section for more inspiration, details and the Iyanded Craftworld picture!
