Really we need to see some pics of your 'black and tans' (and Panzer yellow) L4 :D just to see what real tactical armies look like  Personally I like a splash of colour on the table. :D

Heheh, yeah, you really must get that camera soon L4. I imagine your armies must be quite a sight

Last night I finished the Feral Ork Madboy Airship. I added a Kommando/Madboy to give the model some more life. Here's a quick pic of the result.

Cheers!  :)

Oh and heres the fluff Ive been working on....

Krumpa ToeRag

The result of spore spicing Grot n Squiggoth fibers to create the ultimate Grot slave didnt go quite according to plan.
During the incuebation period the brain spore became isolated, this was as it should be but it lodged itself in the heating element at the bottom of the tank and began to grow seprately unoticed by the Dok.

When the incuebation period was complete and the tank was opened they was a suprize. Not only was there the expected MegaGrot aka Grottoth, but also wat appeard to be a bright red Snot.

Test where ran on the Grottoth, finding him to be an amencely strong but very dim witted creature, making him relatively easy to control. The experiment was deemed a complete success.

However the strange Snot like creature had also be taken for testing and found to have supa-inteligence, so much so it riviled the Dok's own brain power.
It was deemed that such a creature could be of no use and so would be destroyed. Luckily for the Snot the Dok had been summond by his Boss to report his results. So the exstermination was delaid till the next morning.

Unknown to anyone was the sykick link the two creatures possessed.
They were after all in Ork terms twins. Brother of the same mutated spore.

ToeRag linked to Krumpa and told him of his plite.
Krumpa although a bit slow n only realy intrested in squishing things n eating them wasnt going to stand by n let his lil bro get killed.

No one know just how they escaped. It is known that the lab was wreaked and more than 20 Ork guards got krumped in the process

Warmaster that is well excellent, excellent excellent and very inspirational.

I am going to have to copy it... if you don't mind.

As well as the Epic stuff I have been working on (see 6mm section) I have also been working on my 40K Orks.

As usual more information and pictures on the blog page.

Hi,

Fantastic Airship! I've been thinking of making some Barrage Balloons for Epic to make Aircraft rules a bit more interesting and might aim for something similar to this.

I've been painting random parts of my Necro Orlocks, BB Dwarfs and Epic SMs today. I have the house to myself next weekend, so might try to get some friends over for a game of something. If I do I'll try to get a batrep.

I got Fanatic 10 today too. I know some people already have it, but for the benefit of others, here's the contents:

*Nice Editorial by Andy regarding how to deal with people who won't stick with your campaigns. Bizarre but funny.

*Piece about dice rolling. Nothing special.

*04 Albion Coast BB Cup report. Standard stuff.

*"A Battlefield is a Dangerous Thing..." Alternative Objectives for Epic. Quite interesting house rules for adding a random element to your games.

*Thorians in Inquisitor. Not read this at all yet.

*Mordheim Rules Review.

*Snotlings in BB. House Rules.

*"Assault!" Epic Scenario for putting the static defences from the past few issues into action. Nothing particularly original if you've read the other articles.

*Great Battles of Middle Earth. Rules for using the new units in BO5A. Stats for Smaug, Storm Giant, etc.

*(Another) BFG FAQ. Followed by a photo of some guy's BFG Craftworld model!

*"Axes all Areas." Mordheim Dwarf Tactics.

*Inquisitor Campaign stuff.

*Using alternative armies in Warmaster.

*"Dust Falls" Necro article part 2.

*Last Word article about writing by Graham McNeill. Best Quote, "After all, it beats tossing in bed all night for no result..." :D

*Back Page has a paragraph about Fanatic going online only, and a photo of the new BB Humans.

That's it. The end of Fanatic mag. Time to gather all ten up, store them safely away somewhere and wait for their value to increase. :)

RIP Fanatic mag.

Cheers,
Freshmetal

Hi,

Barrage Balloons ?! Like in the DoK pic !? ?Do tell more !!!

The picture on the cover of Fanatic Mag 4 gave me the idea. I was thinking that IG or Siegemasters could place them strategically to stop enemy fighters from taking the easy routes to targets. Obviously just in scenarios and not tourney play, but a nice idea anyway. Possibly a titan-sized base that cannot be crossed by aircraft without a dangerous terrain type roll? Havn't put a load of thought into the rules yet, but have been sketching modelling ideas.

Cheers,
Freshmetal

This was an April Fool's piece which of course will fall flat when #10 eventually reaches the rest of the world.
