Heh - yep.
Incidentally, 'laser material deposition' means 'a process including
the deposition of metal powder on a substrate, fusion of the powder by means of a laser, and subsequent cooling, which, when applied in successive rows and layers, permits the fabrication of METAL OBJECTS'. Now don't you think this could be useful for umm - lets see...???  :blues:

Now I know I am about to say something from a point of ignorance, so be nice if I am way off...

So is it like the next step in the "instant Prototype" stuff?

I saw Wax blocks, then laser carved, then plastic buildup, then the liquid stuff, then the spray on plastic/paper fibers.

Am I thinking of the same kind of thing you are talking about?

Hi,

Had quite a productive evening. My friend Pete brought over his IG for a game we're gonna play tomorrow and we've spent the past few hours painting, drinking and watching comedy dvds. I managed to base nearly 50 units as well as highlighting the red details on all of my Crimson Fists vehicles (Think that's more than I've ever done in one go). Pete's IG are great and I'm gonna try to take pics tomorrow and possibly write a batrep if the game is good.

Cheers,
Freshmetal

Been a bad webmaster, had a fantastic time tonight :p, so no painting done at all.... tomorrow I hope to do more work on the Stirland Lords, I want this army at 1000-1500 in time for the WE release when I can collect the army I always got, untill they shredded the WE list in 4th ed...

The new army book looks superb, at least from the Gamesday info... something scary is roaming the woods - FERAL ELVES! YAY! No more Mr. Nice Guy for the wood elves :D

No the Thai made other bits sting

Made a mid arvo recovery to finish off a Company's worth of Chimeras and base coat a few other bits and bobs.  The Chimeras are OK, but no way look like the hours I've spent on them... ???

Damn you Tuff for raising my standards without modifying the underlying skill base  :{

Hmmm...not quite what a recent email I got says:

-----
A Good motto to live by ...

"Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand - strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming ""WOO HOO - What a Ride!"
------

Lucky I got that email to justify the last 20 years of excesses!
