Quote (CyberShadow @ 23 2004 June,02:15) | And picture two: | Interesting ship. It looks as if it is "Swimming" in space. I think that adds to the "Bio" feel to the model.
Good Job, well done.

Finished texturing the ground for the Firebase today, which seemed to take forever... onto painting now... ?

Very cool storm. Ever thought about scratch-building any Nerco scenery, using the bulkheads as a starting place?
Cheers
Chris

Very nice Storm ... and I like the bed spread too ! Just finished my 4 E40K Ork Pulsa Rokkits. All I need to do is spray them with clear flat. Did some work on an Epic scale Herd Stone and another monolith using a LotR piece.

Whew! Where do you steal the time, Stormseer? And while you're at it could you grab some for me the next time?
Great scenery. I managed to steal 10 minutes to paint the faces of my next Squat warrior detachment.

The Angel figure is progressing... all in all it's about 5 mm tall, sculpted from scratch. Hard to do, but it's already impressive. Now I have attached two pieces of plasticard that will form the backbone of the wings, and will try to do something with them today.
Oh, yes, instead of the usual sword, I have replaced it with a scythe (made from thin wire and a bit of plasticard), it's a Standard of Devastation after all...

I was going for a more 'sea monster' feel to the Tyranid fleet, a bit more like the Space Fleet ships. Now, can anyone identify the various parts used?

Er- I don't play or collect 'Nids, so this is an educated guess: Bodies/backs from one of the larger creatures for the curved carapace, with one of the guns as the nose, some talons for the wing-bits...
-Thanks for the comments guys; Yep, I have been pretty busy lately- mostly to do with my exams being over and getting all fired up with my Necro games- I got a few more minis yesterday, including a Wyrd Pyro I can hire.. I just have to hope he doesn't get possesed.. at least not when he is near my gang...
Hehe... L4, my bed doubles as a 'studio' for photographing larger work, although I tend to go outside when taking pics of individual completed minis, just using natural light and a couple of bits of black card to get a plain background...
@ Chris- I am thinking of making my own card and plastic terrain, yeah- putting this together has made me realise how easy it is to make things with the bulkheads and card, as I had to replace a missing wall with some corugated card; but it will be a little while before anything concrete comes of these ideas....
