AWESOME!

I love it John.  Very realistic gritty feel, like all dockyards!

I'll have to submit my order for Dock No3! :D

Thanks for the Nef fix! :p

It would require an entire SM lander for the mooring points up front, y'know.....  :p    :alien:  :D

I think you'll find that the recent submisison from the Dockyard owners stated that those lander couplings have limited reliability and he recommended use of the components from a BattleBarge instead! ??? ? :D ?

I really like that little dockyard....and how DID you do that 'rusting' to the side? it looks great.
I have reservations about the lander couplings, a couple more photos (perhaps from overhead?) would probably sort that out :D
And every model boat (ship) kit is awash with little cranes that would be perfect for the job of Aeronef repair.

thanks Justiniel,
I'll post a couple more pics.
And yes, ship bits are ideal for this sort of thing.
As for the wear effect:
1 - paint mdel just so
2 - varnish model with matt spray
3 - accidentaly apply too much varnish
4 - drop model, and try to catch it in mid-air, forgetting thatthe freash thick coat will leave fingerprints
5 - thouroughly annoyed   try to wipe marks off. The varnish will drag the paint with it making lots of creases
6 - scrape off the worst of the mess without damaging transfers etc.
7 - paint in the basic colour
8 - apply a rust-coloured wash
9 - touch up with the basic colour to remove excess rusty brown.
10 - very light drybrush with metallic colour

Sad to say, that's the EXACT technique used...
    :alien:

Wow, a ten point technique :D Bit much for my lazy self though I have to say the end result does look fantastic.
I recommend more coffee between stages 1 and 2, this should do away with stages 3 to 10
