thanks PB I am not sure how to handle hit and run experts although the Eldar player is a novice as well so we will probably play all weekend to see how it turns out.

Will be an interesting change of tactics from you :). You won't have the usual Dark Angel rush of death to contend with!

Smaller table at the club too... didn't allow much room for maneuver.

There are almost no SM players at my club so I never find out what it's like to fight them.
Not fun by the sounds of it :(  ???
Cheers.

depends on how experienced you are with the Tau. I was getting to grips with the Tau and the E:A rules so that could give you the false impression :)

I think I'm pretty good tactic wise but those darn genetic mutants still seem pretty good.
The fire/manouver seems to upset most players.
How did your battle go Darkone26?
I just got a new batch of Tau so prep and painting is now in order.
Cheers.

Its tomorrow and sunday so I will see. It will be in Incoming 20 so I will only submit the battle I win ;)

I think the rushing tactic seems to still put me off due to lack of cc in the Tau. Last time I played my Firewarriors couldnt get off the table top fast enough  :(

OK, I'm home on leave! The paints, brushes and files are out, the scalpel sharpened and the bitz box has seen the light of day for knows how long. ?

Back to my embryonic Chaos Army- the Word Bearers project continues, I have a large contingent inbound from the Maksim brokered MEGA-Trade (thanks again mate!) and I'm converting two old beetlebacks to the serve the thrice damned ?powers of the Warp. ?I got these two recently off Ebay advertised as "in need of attention" - they are trashed messes with pretty much all components broken. ?Oh well, it means that conversion is necessary to get them back together at all.

Concentration of firepower does them in, that or wait for them to overstretch themselves (very easy to do, see Incoming! #19) - my Dark Angels would have been crushed had the game lasted another turn, should have concentrated my assaults more!

It does take an awful lot of firepower to kill off a marine detachment tho... those 4+ saves are nasty :).

Enough dice though and even the terminators fall.
