Had a great day today.. earnt me some money doing a bit of work.. got some rabbit hutch style mesh for Necromunda railings, and a new hot glue gun too- it was cheap and I've always thought one would come in very handy for terrain building...
...my new toy!

Oh... and I also made a little progress with my fan piece!
I cut some fine mesh to size and glued it underneath the fan unit (so you don't just see a flat base under the fan) ..I then added a few bases to make it the right height compared to my polystyrene edging....

Finally got my hands on some Hassle Free Miniatures & have had a little time to work on them. Unfortunately not as much time as I would like to lavish on such dynamic models so my first is a little rushed, but I'm pleased none the rest.
Since these pics were taken I've found out (after much searching) the (I hope!) correct chinese characters to write "Shaolin Warrior Master" in Chinese text on a scroll on the base which will be added as soon as I can practice my chinese writing.......
Here's the pics....

Very cool! It is allmost strange to see a model without some oversized gun for a change. Just proves how heavy GW sits on the market.
Did the base come with the model or did you do that one yourself? It looks really nice!
Cheers!

Thanks all
Warmaster: The models come with "Warmachine-like" display bases. That is, bases made famous (in the painting circuit at least) by the War Machine game, not bases that look like war machines.....
I'll stop now before I confuse myself as well as everyone else....
They've got nice rounded edges & a slightly depressed centre which is good for adding scenics such as water without making a blu-tac mold. On this model I simply used a piece of balsa wood to fill the depression in the middle & carved & painted the boards onto that.

Nice job- the yellow in particular is very well highlighted up, and the base is great too!

Scratch the Seraphim and the Dark Angels Emperor's Champion. Pics arre waiting on my HDD for all the cropping, resizing etc.
Began working on the banner bearer for my Dark Angels... this mini has seen more conversions and reconversions then any other in my army, I guess. Hope this one is final.
Working on covers for 40k-themed CD music compilations. Music for them is right now being sorted.

I keep promising pictures, but I just cant find the time for a web update at the moment, so here's the Imperial Fists I've mentioned:

A full Update will be at the Mercenary Brush sometime in the next few weeks I hope & it will be worth the wait - I've painted LOADS, I just dont have time to write it all up and upload new pages at the moment!
Back to the Brushes.....

Very nice Tuff!!! And extremely beautifull terrain as well! How many points worth of models do you reckon there is? and how long did it take you to paint it all?
Cheers!

I think I worked it out to about 5200 points. As for painting time, its hard to tell as (as usual) it was split up amongst other projects, but its probably 6 days painting (Terrain not included, obviously.... )
