Quote (dafrca @ 06 June 2006 (23:53)) | That is the same problem I always have. I have not even finished what I own and yet I keep seeing things I want. | ...and I neglected to mention the BFG Fleets I either need to finish (Space Marine & Imperial) or make (Chaos & Tyranid)!
Anyway, cracking on with what I do have to paint, today I continued with the 40k Colossians - I started the Green Stuff sculpting on their sleeves. I did one shoulder on each Guardsman in one of the squads - I'll do the other side tomorrow as I didn't want to put my thumb in what I'd already done... nothing is more irritating!

Then I painted some more Epic Tanks - et voila, 2 Hydras!

So out of the Epic Tanks, that's 1 Hydra and a Shadowsword to do. Then Sentinels, 2 Warhounds, more infantry, bikes, and Thunderbolts (well, the Marauders I'm using as their proxies!). If I'm not called in for any work by the end of next week (good for my painting, not good for my bank balance! ) I think I could have most of this lot finished.
Tomorrow, it'll be more sculpting, and more Epic tanks - think I'll be taking on the Shadowsword!
Till then, enjoy!

Quote (Dwarf Supreme @ 07 June 2006 (15:43)) | Nice looking hydras, fire. Can't wait to see more armor! | Well, you're in luck tonight! And thank you all for your positive comments - I'm glad the tanks have been a big hit!
Today I painted the last of the Hydras, and then went on to start the Shadowsword... which i promptly dropped, so it needed rebasing
Whilst waiting for the glue to dry, I carried on with the 40k Colossian IG, and made a Chimera:

THEN I went back to the Shadowsword - I only managed to start it this afternoon, my other half's been out this evening so I sneaked upstairs and finished it off - queue blurry pic:

Seeing as these Epic Tanks have gone down so well, I'll post a treat tomorrow in the Epic Painting section...
Till then, enjoy!

Today I started painting the Sentinels - was going to do all four of them, I did two, got bored so moved on to something else

I also carried on with the Colossian Imperial Guard, the arms are now finished on one squad. It was all going very well until the vary last couple, when the Green Stuff decided it was not going to co-operate with me any more - it was only going to stick where IT wanted, in the shape IT wanted! Anyway, I just have to tidy up gaps and add some ammo-type gear on them, and the first batch will be finished.

Oh, and fans of Epic Tanks should go over to the Epic 6m painting section!

Oh my, when I looked at the photo of the Sentinels I had to take a double take. At first I thought they were 40k scale ones. Then I realized they were paint pots in the background. Caught me off guard that did.
Well done, I loved them.
