And Tom ... this Cat thing worries me ... | Ditto.
Got news of a manicuire (sp?) set with some precious little tools that can be used for sculpting... just about time... I'm gonna buy it today and check out how much will these tools be better then the ones I'm currently using.

Oh well, the tournament was fun anyway, and almost all games (well, all but 1) were with a great bunch of people. I managed to wreck my first Steam Tank ever in WHFB (I have a Thrud-lokkalike general who banged away at it until it fell apart; a misfiring cannon helped, though!). Best part was a bit of jinx-research on Sunday: I am renowned for abysymally poor die rolls(my chariot has a special rule of its own - it causes 2 impact hits rather than D6+1; saves a whole lot of time), and a local Skaven player is famed for jinxing other people. There were two schools of thought: one said that his negative applied to mine should give me a positive chance; others said the building would fall on my head. We tried it: I won a minor victory; the poor jinx lost and got massacred. Seems to have been some sort of rebound... Interesting, the research carried out at tourneys.....
....meanwhile - a last fragment of long-delayed birthday present from the wife (happy birthday me, and you too Primarch) arrived from FW - something unusual this time round, a spore chimney. The detail is incredible, and it would look good on an Epic table too as the chimney to end all chimneys! huzzah!
Cheers.

Hi,
Spent about an hour basing my first two tactical squads today, before deciding that what I had done really didn't suit the minis. I then spent two hours removing it all. ? ?Other than that, I got a lot of work done on my website, which is almost complete now, and have been scouring (sp?) the Interweb for nifty minis suitable for E:A.
I've also finalised my plans for my next army... ?
Cheers, Freshmetal

Done with green stuff on the BT Crusader. Callidus is about 1/3rd done.
The new tools were better then expected too!

The Danger of Gardening......
I'm meant to be painting today. I've spent this morning not lifting a paint brush. I've spent most of the morning in hospital with an eye specialist removing a well entrenched seed from my right eye after a day gardening yesterday. What fun! Apparently there shouldnt be any permenant damage, but its going to be a little blurry for a few days & I dont like my chances of finishing my Golden Demon Project in time any more
Ho hum, so much for *&!^" ?"?&$*#% ?*~!!. I guess this means my posts here will mostly concern paperwork for a few days then - I'll save you the boredom & keep quiet!
(*&!^" ?"?&$*#% ?*~!! = edited out after realising I may still complete it in time for the Epic Comp! )

I have set myself a deadline: I want to finish the whole land train this weekend.
Now if I only could remember who said that he likes the whooshing sound deadlines rushing past make...

Having newly switched to contacts I am far more aware of how easy it is to hurt your eyes. At times walking down the road can be painful enough (due to smoke, dirt etc) so the idea of having something stuck in there sounds even worse!
Hope you come through it OK
Cheers
James
