Natural light? What natural light?  :o  Oh, you mean something which happens when I am at work assuming there are no clouds.

Yeah, give me little lead/plastic men and a good set of wargames rules anytime. ?:;):

Well lets face it- the rules don't have to be that good. Just the little lead/plastic men are normally enough
:D
Cheers

Just got Fanatic Mag #5, included a letter saying #10 is the last.  Also said you can take cash or credit for your remaining issues.  I took a $40 credit !  Also the article on making Epic Chaos conversions is fine if you could get the Epic parts ?? ???  I'll wait ... And the article on organizing Epic Armies was very good ! That is worth a read.  :D

Well last weekend after much gluing fingers together, I finally managed to assemble my LOTR figures. I bought one of the Figures-in-Comfort cases from the recent Newbury wargames show. Can fit in 45 cavalry and 144 infantry. I reckon that should be enough for the average skirmish game!!

And this weekend I have been mostly gluing Chaos WFB figures. Giving lack of both time (work is just non stop, especially since we acquired another company) and also painting ability, I have managed to badger one of my friends to paint up some figures (well giving him cash helped too!!) so that I can take part in a future club map-based WFB campaign.

So far have glued togther 1 unit of Chaos Warriors, 2 units of Marauders, 2 units of Marauder Horse and some Chaos Hounds. I have Chaos Knights shrinkwrapped box waiting for me when I leave work. Add a couple of characters and that should be enough to get me started. Now I just have to work out best way to give 1 unit of Marauders some double-handed weapons.

Cheers

James

The weather was relatively nice yesterday so I snapped a bunch of pics for the Lounge (including new ones of the Vanquishers and Demolishers.)
I also finished a piece for the Competition which I'll be photographing tomorrow.
Last night I also also suddenly felt in the mood for some scratch building so I made a Pocket Battleship for BFG. I'm putting the final touches to it tonight. A pic can be found in this thread.

Cheers! :)

Flail arms with large axe-heads, hammers or maces attached to the top.

I don't think that I'm going to make the deadlines for the contest. I had too much other stuff going on.

Shalom,

Radiator got the cable attached, working all right. It gave me like 19 degrees temperature in the room, which is about what I need.

Done through painting the Battle Sister. She's one mean goth girl... just the sort which I wouldn't think two times about dating. How sad...

Then, I must have been subject to a temporary fit of madness, as one of the WIP Dark Eldar is practically ready for painting... her armor has so much spikes that it looks like some kind of a weapon. Maybe not too good (I usually refrain from using too much spikes on my DE), but this makes her look certainly nasty...

Sculpting on Callidus went a bit forward, same for one of the bit-Marines and my converted Howling Banshee. I might even finish the Callidus before March...

Last but not least, I have began painting the gift Banshee. The color choice is a bold tri-color combination of black, red and blue. Black armor and hair, red helmet (not the faceplate) and blue scarf and cloth.

Since there's no way I'll finish the thingies I'm working on in time for the comp, I hereby reveal Da sekret projict. Namely, Death Knights chapter command group. So far nothing is painted. I converted a plastic Rhino to a Damocles and tried to change the Chapter Master's bolter to a Bolter-Meltagun with moderate success. Pics can be found here.
I'm actually quite pleased with the Damocles. The radar has 11 parts which, to me, is quite an achievement. I found out there's much you can do with some sprues, plasticard and a sharp knife.

Urgh! *shudders* I've heard about this "real life". Seriously overrated iif you ask me...

Oh, I think it has it's moments. However, I wish I had less of it to deal with and more game time to enjoy.  :;):

Thanks Dysartes.

Thats pretty much the way I was leaning. In fact I have already taken the flail arms off the sprue and cut the flails off (to go into bits box in case I do anything Slaaneshi).

I just don't have any large axe heads, hammers or maces in my bitz box. What would you suggest would be a good sprue to get 25 of these from?

Cheers

James
