Thanks once more for kind comments! I've been MEGA busy with Uni work (Dissertation & one other assignment due next week, two 3,000 word assignments due within 14 days after that... I feel like I'm developing a migraines just thinking about it )
Due to this, I've not had a lot of time for making and painting minis :cries: which has been a bit frustrating (well, more than it usually would be! ) as I've just had my student loan so it's been MINIATURE PURCHASING TIME!!!
I start this round of updates with a riddle for you:
when is a Marauder Bomber not a Marauder bomber?
Answer: when it's a Thunderbolt. The picture below shows why!
I bought two blisters of these as I wanted some Thunderbolts for my Guard army I'm taking to Call to Arms (ordered my Ticket today, yayy!), and I think the GW models are a bit small; whereas the Epic ones are a bit out of scale, and too expensive! So I'll be counting these as Thunderbolts - they look fighter-sized next to the FW Marauders.

Next, I've been adding to my infantry, as I originally had a BIG Mechanised Infantry detachment, but I thought it made sense to add some Infantry to split the detachment in to two - a Supreme Commander one and an Infantry Company. To bulk out the few Guardsmen I had I bought a Supreme Commander Blister, and I thought about using the Fire Support platoons to represent the units which have Autocannons. I'd not worked with these minis before, and to be honest I'm a bit disappointed - the Guardsmen next to the gunner look a bit poor in my opinion!
Anyway, pic (cameras set to blurry, Captain! )

Finally, I still haven't finished painting the rest of the Epic Guard minis I got over 2 years ago now - some of which I'm taking to the Call to Arms tourny. From the front to the back, this is the order I'm painting them in:
- Demolishers (which I'm not taking to the Tourny), - Shadowsword - Basilisks - Hydras (of which I'm only taking 2 to the Tourny), - and Sentinels (which I'm not taking either).
So that's it for now - I'm still wanting to get those 40k Inquisition Storm Troopers finished (especially now I've bought another - and final! - squad of these ), afterwhich I'm painting some Death Watch Marines and converting some Inducted Guardsmen. Oh yeah, and I got some of those new Vostroyan Guardsmen (two Platoons!), but I can't decide whether I'm going to convert them as Traitors for a Lost & the Damned army, or just use them as Vostroyans.. they're so lovely! But I knew you guys would want to see the Epic stuff before all that...
Of course, I'll have to do this around uni work but I'm done in June - unless something turns up straight away on the work front, I foresee a furious amount of painting!

I always liked this IFV. Look forward to the finished vehicle and the whole army as well.

My word, nearly three whole weeks since my last post here!!! That's university deadlines for you... thank goodness I've finished!
So, having had a gap of three weeks since even touching a miniature, it was back with a vengeance as I spent ALL DAY painting. And there was much rejoicing.
Firstly, I did some Epic Tanks for my Guard army:

Still quite a bit to go before that army's finished! Another Basilisk, Hydras, Sentinels, Shadowsword, Warhounds, Bikers, infantry...
Then I moved back on to the Storm Troopers for the 40k Inquisition army - 2 plasma dudes and a veteran:

So that's another squad of these done - one more to paint, then I'll paint a Death Watch Kill Team.
Next week I hope to do at least 3 days of Temping work (student debt requires I work, even if it's not my chosen profession!), but around that it'll be more painting of Epic Tanks and 40k Storm Troopers...
Till then, enjoy!
