Having used a mixture of polyfilla (wall filler), white glue, brown paint, model railway ballast, model railway coal and some water I added the mixture to the board.

Once this was dry, I spray painted the board.

I first used black spray, then a dark earth and finally a grey spray.

I now have to dry brush the terrain.

Due to a few gaps in the terrain I will be making this a green landscape with lots of foilage.

Hi!

Looking good. I like the step by step approach. Maybe I'll get the courage to try it. :;):

I sometimes worry about this approach as I wonder if people see something half way through, decide it's not very good and ignore it or post unsavoury comments.

If you look at the rocks, they look glossy, that's because the picture was taken when the paint was still wet.

Hi!

Have you played warmachine yet Mojarn?

Primarch

Not yet but as it seems there are quite a few players around here I'm confident of having a game as soon as I have painted the two warjacks in the box  :p  plus the warcaster.

I've been going around the house and touching all my stuff, playing for a few minutes and replacing- that sort of thing.  I guess its a 'put your scent back into the house' kinda thing we mere males do after long absences from our caves...  ???

As opposed to painting stuff atm, I'm experimenting with SImple Green as a paint stripper. So far (having tested it in a 4-1 dilution) it works pretty well - I'm now testing a 2-1, to see if it'll work better :)

Extra fix-up touches on one of the badges, major progress on another. Since I am trying to give my DA as many unique design variants of the chapter badge as possible, this one does not have standard wings but only a white outline of them. Real pain in the backside to paint it with my clumsy skills and inadequate paintbrushes, but it looks very ornate.

Here are some photographs from my other scenery board.

I decided to add some extra hillocks using two small bits of polystyrene.

Having used a mixture of polyfilla (wall filler), white glue, brown paint, model railway ballast, model railway coal and some water I added the mixture to the board.

After this was left to dry the next stage was to add the sand.

I used Games Workshop sand, which is not too fine (unlike my son's sandpit sand) and also has tiny stones as well.

I flowed some PVA (white) glue into the scenery and then using a wet brush watered down the glue. I then covered this with the sand and left it to dry. This picture shows the sand piled on.

Leave it to dry for at least an hour and preferably overnight.

Hi!

Its looks very real, like such a landscape should.

How big is it overall in size?

Great work! Again! ?

Also got the new W/D today! ?

All E:A Feral Orks should be out in the US in June. S/Gargant, Junkkatruks, S/Catapult, O/saurus, etc. Includes F/Ork infantry pack! So I'm guessing, we'll see F/Orks boyz like we see in the Swordwind book! Hopefully! :;): ?

I'll be ordering all the new E:A Eldar on the 23rd!

And a sidebar... saw " Kingdom of Heaven" over the weekend, worth a look! I liked it, even if the catapults/trebuchet were a bit powerful! :o ?

Still working on my Ork Looted Warband:
- 3 Rhinos,
- 3 IG S/Hvys,
- 3 BIG Gunz! ?

Still have so much Epic to do, including terrain! ?

Finished my last Hammer's Slammers book, excellent series! :D

Hi!

Good. I'll keep an eye out for those on the US site and pick up some when they come out.
