Awesome rescue job indeed, very well done Mr Nice (anymore tips that you would care to share? that's one that's bound to be very useful)
At least 3 tbirds per company!.....at that rate I need at least 9 more, oh dear
Chapter is shaping up very nicely Centurian, I like the fact that it's an armour free one, that stuff is for the IG!

Quote (the_fifth_horseman @ 09 2004 Sep.,15:18) | I'd be especially happy if you bothered to tell me what do you think of new gallery additions: |
Good work Horsemen.
I've had a look at your gallery additions & its clear that you have very good brush control & an eye for detail from your work on "the Crusader" & the fine "text" on the purity seals.
By way of improvement, the armour sections of your dark angels could do with a little more contrast (ie further highlights) as at the moment they tend to look a little flat. Its clear you have the skill, its just a matter of how much time you wish to put into your R&F troops.
Keep it up!
(edit: apologies, it appears when originally writing this message I had something of a "Finger fit" - I just corrected about a dozen blatent errors in 2 paragraphs... how embarrassing..... )

I know that I'm one to talk but I agree with Tuff, a little flat at present, otherwise great work, the poses are lively and mobile and look much better than the standard 40k fare. Speaking of standards that is one impressive stand.

Wow, thanks Tuff! For the brushes I usually use size 0 (for rough stuff, eg basecoat, some highlights, drybrush etc) and 00 (all smaller things and details). Then there are some which have only about fifth part of bristles left, which makes them ideal for scripts. And naturally, I never consider miniature to be finished before all touch-ups are done.
By way of improvemtn, the armour sections of your blood angels could do with a little more contrast (ie further highlights) as at the moment they tend to look a little flat. Its clear you have the skill, its just a matter of how much time you wish to put into your R&F troops.
| So far I've only recently got the hang of how to apply highlights, maybe in some near future I'll try improving on the current standard.
Just wait till you see the Leader and Standard Bearer! They are in the final stages of completion (purity seals, names on shoulderpads), and to say it bluntly, the Leader is my best conversion so far.

Quote (the_fifth_horseman @ 09 2004 Sep.,07:18) | Update is DONE!!! Whew, it was kind of hard this time. Slept only 5 hours overnight, casue I went to bed at 12 PM and got up at 5 AM. | I like them all, but to be honest I like the Crusader the best. Just something abou tthe way she looks.
Good job.
