Got the replacement BFG ships GW promised me. Only two days wait must be some kind of record! I love it :D  I've been assembeling the Despoiler and using a few spare bitz to flesh out my Planet Killer. For some reason it just keeps growing and growing ???
I was thinking about adding a plastic cruiser prow to extend one of the Despoilers and make it into some sort of a gunship. Sort of like a Repulsive XL. Perpaps one could look at the Imperial Avenger class Grand Cruiser for some inspiration for the stats.
Here's a quick comparison pic.

I'm also brewing on a bit of terrain but since I may enter it in the competition (if I manage to finish it in time) it's still a bit hush hush.

Cheers!  :)

Well, the radiator got the temperature to a whooping 16 degrees. Enough for me to work in, plus I can always unfreeze my hands over it.

Completed painting Gabriel. He's one awesome Hero.

Next in the pipeline is the second female Crusader (who I have just christened "Marion"), and the jets for the Phoenix Hawk.

It really pays to concentrate on getting specific pieces done one at a time.

It's my day off. I actually finished 3 Epic Ork Goff Battlewagons, just need to spray with clear flat, weather permitting. And started on 2 Snakebite Battlewagons too.  Worked on my IG TO&E.  And re-inventoried my E:A and new Epic F/W.  And I found a copy of Mayfair Games (they released it years ago !)  Hammer's Slammers board game and ordered it on line.  I'm nutz !!! :o  And started reading the second Slammers book - "Tank Lords".  Like I said his writings fit my current mood and mental state !  :;): I'm just one goofy mutha !!!

Got the Banshees. One that will be given to GF got only her arm pinned, while the other, that will be kept as a memento of sorts, has already went through some extensive converting.

The wheel of fortune seems to have turned for better. I'll get a new PC (though a second-hand) within a weeks time. Probably also a replacement motherboard for the old one as well.

Unfortunately, not all of my bad luck is gone. Halfway through pinning the converted Banshee I broke my last 1mm drill bit, and my glucose at 10pm was a whooping 230.

Well, I managed to work using a broken half of a drill bit, so I finished drilling and pinning the banshees allright. The time gained by having to wait to make another glucose measurement resulted in me finishing the highlights and black wash on the Phoenix Hawk jets. Now they need only a clear red coating to be done.

Also the red parts of the Marion model have been basecoated properly. It took three layers of Red Gore in total.

All in all, no so bad. :)

No. I meant that it was all I have done, as I want the gift to be durable enough for transporting it in bus. Giving GF a miniature that's in two halves isn't a good way to impress her.

See, like when I gave her a Flamer Seraphim. The model was not reposed, so it was resistant to transportation. On other hand, the one I kept for myself had some degree of modifying and reposing.

So, you see, I have pinned the model's sword arm to the body so it does not fall off, and only extra modelwork will be just some GS for fixing of minor details and filling the gap between arm and torso.

The model will be painted but so far I have only did the basic cleanup from mold lines and the pinning.

On other hand, the one that I keep I'm running wild on converting, having some serious fun of it. So far I have slightly reposed the legs and reposed the arms a lot, including switching the sword and shuriken pistol. Unfortunately, the miniature seems to have some problems with the sword hilt (thing keeps falling off). Will see into that as soon as I am back home. See, when I am converting a miniature it's in a usually complex way, so it might end up too butchered to be good for a gift, even after some serious GS fixing.

Ah! Gotcha - don't think I have ever given miniatures to a GF, normally just wanna keep them for myself.

Mind you - never had a gaming GF... had one that tried, but only to keep tabs on me. She was rather paranoid, accused me of at least two affairs with women that I hadn't ever slept with :p. Won't have minded so much if they had been pretty but man, it was almost insulting!

Well, this one isn't a gamer either. But she likes miniatures a lot.
