I'm sorry, but 'French Fleet' and 'glory' seem to be mutually exclusive concepts...
Q: ?Name the last successful French General. A? ?Napoleon. ?No. ?Napoleon was not French. ?Charlemagne was the last successful French General.
Nice-looking fleets, though, Tas.

If you want to get technical, Charlemagne wasn't French; he was a Frank.
Sorry for the topic highjacking!

Please. Not again.
Ever heard of one Ferdinand Foch?
Then there are Charles De Gaulle and Jacques Le Clerc.

Well, the ships are pretty.
I hope they're not like the IJN Kongo-class. Pretty lines, but can't take a hit to save her life (played sea-power 2&3 with her and got my backside handed to me).

As long as they take Sir from port to port, can host a decent cocktail party and the Wardroom bar is fully stocked....what else does a gentleman need? ? ? ?

Didn't you say just a couple of days back that naval officers are not gentlemen?

Circular arguments are rude and obnoxious Sir, and have no place in civilised after dinner conversation over brandy and cigars. ? Good day to you!
