My current project has changed (yet again):
I'm now back to my Thousand Sons, finishing another squad of 9, and about to start on the box of Grey Knights that I've ordered (they are to be rubric Terminators! Chaos termies with two wounds? Yes, please!).

I've just recently decided to re-organize all my Epic infantry
I'll be starting with my SMs, then IG, Orks, Eldar, chaos, Squats, 'Nids, etc. ...
I'm out of my mind!!! ?

Out of your mind? I think this would depend on what you mean by re-organize. If you mean change what shelf they are on or how you package them or in what boxes, then no.
If you mean rebase, etc. then maybe... ?

Well, Dafrca, I'll let in on a little secret: I never glued most of my Infantry down, or with some infantry I used a glue that could easily be popped-out. ?
This technique has worked well for me over the past 12+ years of Epic. It?gives me lots of flexibility. And at this point a lot of work! ?
I have: - 5 SM Regiments (BA, DA, SW, UM, & Salamanders) and - 5 Traitor Battalions (T/Sons, SoH, EC, WE & NL) all with matching flags (ala' SM-1). ?
All are painted in tactical colors, no red, purple etc.!

Well, I got off my tucches (rear end) again and worked on models yesterday evening. I started texturing the bases of the Scotia sci-fi IG proxies that I'll be making the Jopall Indentured Squadrons out of.
I didn't realize that three companies have 36 bases plus 3 command stands!
I only got a smidgeon more than 1/8th of the job done!
What kind of vehicles do you gentlemen think the Jopallis would be using?
I also took apart some MWDA battle armor (as in removed from the clickie stand TM) and mounted them on pennies. I'll try to get some photos soon.
Shalom, Maksim-Smelchak.

My 40K scale Codex Grey IG army is coming along. I think I've finally managed to get ahold of enough pieces to make an army without completely breaking the bank in the process. Some of the plastics are badly painted though & I'm not sure how well they'll strip.
I've have the following done (other than a few finishing touches which can probably wait):
- Two x10 man squads - A battery of 3 Rapiers ? - 3 old "eggs on legs" Sentinels - My command squad converted up & half painted - A Chimera painted - An armoured fist squad half done to go in it - 5 ratlings 80% complete. - My FW Reaver titan has stalled
I've made some slight progress on my Games Day Epic Project, but time is looing like even though I started early, it still may not be finished in time this year!

The only way my progress could be any slower is if I was dead or in a coma... ?

Legion-4,

You'll just have to start concentrating on building and painting minis rather than...
Buying even more! LOL

How did you convert this command squad? Shalom, Maksim-Smelchak. |
They're all old metals, some with plastic arms. As far as converting goes, I didn't actually do much, but I went through about 6 options before I hit a style I liked so it seemed to take forever!
The Commander has a scratch built power fist, based on an old Terminator-style & a couple of the heads have been swapped and / or Greenstuff'ed.
Having said that, I'm now considering swapping out the guys with the head swaps to use as squad/platoon leaders & have my whole HQ in carapace armour.
The distinguishing marks between my units are the helmet colours and little badges, which are easy enough to repaint if and when I reorganise. ?
I forgot to mention above, I've also got my hands on some of the old Commissars + the LE Female commissar from the USA to make up my 2nd line of command.

You're talking about 25mm figures, aren't you?
And here I was really impressed that you did this in 6mm... ?
Shalom, Maksim-Smelchak. | Yes I am talking 28mm. My 6mm pieces have far more detail.....

Quote (MaksimSmelchak @ 03 2003 Aug.,05:21) | Anyone else making headway with any projects? | I have made some headway with my 40K scale Grot Bomb Launcha, it is now "built" and undercoated ready for painting. I say "built" as I will fix it all together properly once it was painted.
I have also made some headway with my 40K scale Daemonhunters force, well I bought some models and have undercoated them.
As for Epic...
well I have made a decision that my Large Ork Transport Plane (a converted 40K scale Forgeworld Ork Bomma) has been shelved. I am now going to re-convert it back and paint it as a 40K scale Forgeworld Ork Bomma. I need to take a photograph to show you what could have been...
