I've been painting up a 40K Eldar army
Still haven't organised any pics yet though, hopefully to follow.

Also been working on some cheese and crab snacks, utterly delicious.

I just received my weathering paints from Forgeworld and gave them a quick try.  I rather like them and easy to use.  I put some black soot on the rear exhaust of the armored cars but you cannot see it in the pic, I also added some dark sand to all the ground vehicles.

The weathering paints are not really paints but a chalky dust, I suggest using them with a sheet of paper under models so that you can easily clean up the excess and sift it back into your pots.

You can also mix the FW pigments with white spirit & then paint them onto a surface if you want more control & less potential waste.  If you are mixing on a palette you can easily reuse the pigments, much like what you can do with watercolors.

Great looking Brits and I love those Hurricanes!

White spirit is usually mineral spirits or turpentine.  I typically use turpentine, but you can also use alcohol for pigments.  By adding more liquid, you can also make pigment washes which are good for everything from rust, to dirt, to bases.

The good thing about painting pigments on is that you can pretty easily blend them in or rub them off if you get a little too much where you wanted.

Well the weather held last week and I got a good chunk base coated and ready to go so I'm good for the next week or so. I still have the arms left of this guy and I'm probably going to just leave the multimelta arm as is, though I'm thinking of adjusting the powerfist arm. I also just might leave it off entirely in favor of some forgeworld arms I've ordered (The MM is going to take a leave of absence for the plasma cannon once arrives. Also I'm trying to think what, if anything needs to go on the shin guard sides since my original idea will look funny with them angled as they are.

A friend and I have also been working up a set of dreadnoguht shoulder blanks to cast as the basis for custom build autocannon arms and what ever else we might want to build, I'm attaching a shot of the constructions.

Outstanding work! :agree:

I love the details you added to the armor like extra tracks, bags, etc.

Well a slight break for the dread, but I really had to get this guy done for the bolter and chainsword DIY swap since it had to be finished by the first of february. It's a little rushed and the lettering isn't the best (happens when you paint from 1pm to 2am and only get to the lettering at 1:30am) but he is done before the deadline :)

I now return to my regularly scheduled epic marine bikes and dreadnought arms.

A lot of that extra stowage is modeled on the tanks, I did add some here and there though.

Nice shermans indeed !

And I like that dreadnought with a titan head, good way to make a venerable dread.

Right now, working on 9 Pumas:
