Well it looks like I won't be making much in the way of progress on painting with temperatures sub freezing here and no place to prime the models indoors. However I had gotten the lower half of the dread and the base primed before the cold spell hit and I spent my vacation over Christmas painting up at least that much. As soon as it gets warm enough, I'm planning on finishing this guy up, but for the moment here is the teaser for the lower half for your consideration. The hieroglyphics on the front say Sah Nesew khetef ankh djed, ie. the kings son of his flesh, living forever.

That's why each Autumn I try to prime enough minis to last me through the Winter. I suppose I could prime in me basement, but there is no air circulation at all.

Well, usually I'm far enough south that I have a few days each week above 50 degrees, but we've had a cold snap. I'm hoping that this thursday I can get more done with the temp hitting 45 degrees and priming in the garage.

l4, don't feel bad, most hierglyphic decals don't mean anything or are fragments copied from inscriptions... or worse aren't even really the actual glyphs.

that's a good example L4, all but the vulture are primarily used as determinatives at the end of a word if I'm making them out right. the vulture is a triliteral symbol IIRC that stands for the letters "mwt" or mewet if you follow gardiner's grammar. I think those were taken right from the typeface.

Still working on my large GZG 6mm grav force.  I settled on using some of the non-N scale CAV fliers for air support.  I really could have spent more time on the canopies, but to be honest, I am sick of the project and am at the point where I want it finished.  10 tanks and some infantry left to go!
