Nice work Firestorm. Its the beauty of the new plastics for W40k- they do convert up well.

Cheers

Thanks again for postive and encouraging comments!

Today I started on another Marine squad - a Tactical one.  So here's a Tactical Marine...  :(8:

That makes it 19 Marines of an army of 44.  And 'Marine Painting Fatigue' is starting to kick in now!  Nooooo!  Must struggle on...

Tomorrow I'm going to start on the next detachment for the Epic Guard army - but I can't decide whether to paint the Warhounds I made last week, or the Tank Company.  Seeing as I've only recently painted a dozen or so Chimeras, I should flow in to painting the tanks quite easily.  Either way, I need to get this detachment done by the end of the month, as then I need to interrupt the Guard painting schedule by painting some more Iron Hands tanks to be ready for the Full Scale Assault Epic Tournament.

So I'm going to leave the decision making to my fellow EpiComm-ers.  What would you prefer to see - Tanks, or Titans?  :;): Post your votes below!

For me the choice is a no-brainer: Titans!!

Today I painted another Fire Storm Tactical Marine, as I still can't make my mind up whether to paint my Epic Warhounds or a Tank Company - what do you think?  We've had one vote for Titans from DS!  :D  Anyway, here's the Marine, my wierd-bended-arm, 'preening' one as I like to call him

Now, some of you may have seen the indescribably AMAZING Cathedral Imperialis that Sotec from the SG forum has been working on (there's a link to it from the thread in the Epic Painting bit of this forum).  Those of you who have a good memory may remember that I started work (way back in August!) on an Epic Inquisition Drop Fortress.  Over the past few months I've been chipping away at it, doing little bits of painting, and today I finally finished it - apart from varnishing.  The reason it took so long was because I decided to add an Inquisition symbol, and sculpted it myself.  I'm not happy with it, but it can be replaced by something better if I either make it find it!  Anyway, here it is:

More pics can be seen  here.

I'm not sure I'll be able to get anymore painting done until next week, when I'll do some more Epic - Tanks or Titans, whichever you want to see!  :(8:  Till then, enjoy!

OOOOhh, there's a nasty piece of imperial technology, very nice FireStorm
By the way, I'm going to be awkward and vote for the tanks  an Imp commander is going to ask for the tanks before he contacts another organisation that he can't order about

Hi!

Great fortress. That would make one hell of an epic objective. :)

Hello again!  Thank you for the positive comments about my Drop Fortress.  Like I said, I wasn't 100% happy with it, it was a bit of a botch job - I was doing it pretty 'blind', making up as I went a long to be honest.  It was very different to what I originally had in mind, something that folded out in to two ramps kind of like a semi-Drop Pod.

Anyway, did another Marine today, yadda yadda yawn  :D

One thing I'll say abou this one is that he seemed to take a lot less time than the others, only 1 hour 40 mins instead of 2 1/4...

In other news, I am proud to reveal my 'secret project' - a diorama/objective I call 'the Interrogation'  :blues:

It's still very WIP, I want to have a go at carving off the Scout's hair so I can give them mohawks.  Then I'll base it, prime and paint it.  Another thing to add to the 'to paint list'...  :80:

Tomorrow I will be painting an Epic Guard objective.  Then I've taken the executive desicion to start painting the Epic Tank Company - sorry DS!

No big deal! You'll get around to the titans, eventually.  :(8:

BTW, interesting concept on your "secret project."

Meh!  For the first time, I'm not going to make my monthly target.  I've come down with a pretty nasty throat infection this week which has laid me low.  My girlfriend's poorly too, so we've been having to alternately take care of each other when the other's feeling rough.

So I didn't get anymore painting done this week :(  And as I'm going to be away now until Tuesday, I won't be able to get any more done by the end of the month.  So I'll be carrying over the current 40k Marine squad be fore starting an Assault Squad.  For Epic, I'll need to put aside the Guard army momentarily so I can finish off some Whirlwinds & Hunters for my Iron Hands army which I'm taking to the Epic Full Scale Assault Tournament on 25th March.  Once these are done, I'll get back in to the Guard army - I'll do the tank company to begin with... just a few support detachments after that...

Well, considering this is only the first month of the Big Paint ™ I've not finished my planned quota, I suppose I can't really complain! :)
