I'm looking at painting a US Airborne company now, but feeling daunted by the mass numbers of infantry!  Should I get this underway I also plan a small 2AD armor company (1/66 Armor) with cavalry recon support (2/1 Cavalry); both of which are units I have served in too.

Should be able to finish four GZG NSL ships today, 2 Destroyers and 2 Escort Cruisers (new construction).  They're to be used with Starmada AE

Thanks.
On a black base, basecoat of astronomican grey, then heavy drybrush with codex grey on the back, then adeptus battlegrey but not everywhere, then lighter one of black just in the middle (and a few "stripes").
Brown wash (I've used a "wash brown" from mig oil but any other dark brown should work) to get a furr effect, sa light drybrush  with any pale grey (just to make the dark grey/black not too black), then highlight with astronomican grey and it's done, quite fast on 5 wolves. Must finish the details now (eyes, fangs, and helmet of the champion's wolf).

Great stuff  :agree:

I recently bought this tower from Monolith Icon in Poland.
I've based it on MDF and eventually, I'll be able to place it in an evil fortress for Lord of the Rings.

More photos (and details) HERE.

Cheers,
Steve.

Wow that is amazing.

I had a look at the web site you got it from and you definitely picked the best model there!

I have been making slow progress on My Fairytale Armies project with the kids.  We have quite a village made up.  It just needs roofs, detailing and painting.

after much time lapse due to going out of town for a weekend and having to get my installation thrown together for my grad class, I'm back with the completed torso. It would probably look nicer with a bit of primer to help me find any remaining gaps but for now I think I'm ready to move on to the legs. I'll be redoing the shin armor, extending the leg length, adding groin armor, and adding armor to the tops of legs before moving on to finish up the modifications to the arms and finally getting ready to paint.

My wife didn't think it looked enough like a garden so it got some shrubs and vines.
