Quote (Tas @ 22 2005 June,00:34) | What were do doing on the trials team V?
I also commissioned one of ANZAC's sisters, the HMAS ARUNTA, in 1999. Nice ships, based on the Meko deisgn by Blohm & Voss. ?Builders of such ships as KMS BISMARCK, which I find ironic.... | True, it IS ironic! In the sea trials I was learning the ropes with QA/Qc, but was mainly involved in equipment trials, especially the main engine - monitoring oil pressures, temperatures, fuel flow etc. I had a small crew of 3 fitters stationed round the engine room monitoring stuff and taking readings every 15 minutes.
The trials lasted 4 days - the bits of crew who had completed their job were shipped off before the fifth (to save on overtime wages!). The really interesting bit was an outbreak of food poisoning during the trials... some of the people I sailed with had the closest complexion to an Ork I'd ever seen... luckily, I stick to veg stuf and avoided it entirely.... only to get seasick during steering gear trials!

At least the incense covered the smell of the effects of food poisoning - yuk...

All I know is that my D&D mini collection just found a new use/life. So many odd things, so few Imperial troops to stop them.

Hi all, a very businessy sort of post this:
1 - can any moderator for this thread please replace the subtitle with - oh, anything suitable - the original armies listed there are practically untouched (barring the Uruks). 2 - I am officially abandoning any attempt at reaching a Primarchial scale. Which means I'm cutting down from buying stuff, mainly because of space-time limitations - I need four or five more lifetimes to paint all I have at my current rate, and that is enough. I will by the odd really-must-have models, but no more bulk-buying, at least not unless any miraculous sale comes my way. The one exception might be a second order of Aeronef stuff (and the first is yet to arrive). 3 - temperatures are up to 34 degrees Centigrade (pant)
cheers, John

On of the things I do with Epic and my 15mm stuff, I buy painted minis if they are already in formations or armies.
Picked up a tank company for IG and two APCs for my 15mm stuff the other day. Both Painted to "Table" quality. Punched up another 650 points for the IG and added some needed firepower to my "Tan" army. No more work needed from dafrca other then to go and play.
Don't give up hope, just take it slow and keep going as you can.
