Damn, got beaten by Dakka this time!  :blues:

Wave Serpents and Grey Knight Strike Cruiser

Not bad. (I had to post it here as it has both games. I hope that everyone sees it!)

Wave Serpents and Grey Knight Strike Cruiser

one of the interesting things in the "thread" which may have been missed

Epic
-Vac formed terrain will be released

Forgeworld
-BFG.  Grey Knight Stirke Cruiser.  I have a pic, and this was just fantastic looking.  A must buy.  Also Eldar Space Stations, Imperial Orbital Bombardment ships, and Tau and Imperial Space Stations.  No pics provided.
-Epic.  Wave Serpents, just like the FW 40k ones.  Eldar fighters.  Just the old ones.  Ork Gunwagons, moving forts, etc.  Space Marine Characters in epic scale.  Yarrick?

though of interest to me was the FW 40K Orks list

-40k Orks.  Looted LR.  Looted IG kit.  Flakwagon.  Ork heavy bomber/transport, the size of a thunderhawk.  Think huge russian plane from the 30's.  Lots of turrets, and orks hanging out.

because eventually these will be made in Epic scale (fingers crossed)

looks like the future is fun

I do like the Grey Knights strike cruiser, but I think I would like it more if they made a grey knights Battle Barge to go with it plus some new rules, not just use them as normal strike cruisers.

Just hope they release them soon...

Cheers

Chris

I'm sure FW will come up with some new rules for this model- they seem to for all their other models, BFG or otherwise, or perhaps Fanatic will come up with some to go in a future BFG Mag? :l

Vacuform Epic Terrain !? ?Did I read that right ?! ?I like it !!! Yarrick and other special Epic characters, that's very cool also but more "fluff"! ?Remember our discussion before about how many Commissars go on a stand ? ?Maybe they fixed that in the final E-A rules.? ?F/W doing 40K models in Epic scale, well that follows their trend. ?You can see what they look like by going to the F/W site or catalogue. ?Either way I'll buy all the stuff ... and incorporate them in our gaming system ... better start saving $ ... Yahoo !!!

I hope they do most of there 40K line in Epic. I seriously want some of the new Thunderbolt fighters in Epic scale, they look soooooooooooooo much better than the old Epic40K ones.

As for Yarrick in epic scale. I think this would be a cool little (no pun intended) model, but what difference in a tiny special character in the middle of a giant battlefield going to make? Maybe if he was in a command vehicle.....Yarrick in a Leviathan anyone?

Cheers

Chris

As far as Yarrick, etc., it depends what system you play. SM2 had Lib, Chaplin stands etc., E40k made figs but put them all on the same stand. ?E-A ? ??? ?Well I am excited about the terrain ! ?Anyway !!! ? ?I am sure we will see more F/W 40K models in Epic scale ... they have not missed much in that project ... :D ? I'm there !!!

So this is what's proposed this round for Epic:

- FW Eldar fighters
- FW Eldar Wave Serpents
- FW Ork characters
- FW Ork Gunwagunz
- FW Ork moving forts (Battlefortresses?)
- FW Space Marine Characters in Epic scale (already offered at a GW-UK event as a promo)
- FW Tyranid Monsters
- Vacuform Epic Terrain

Plus the previous mentions that we haven't seen:

- FW New SM landraider
- FW Land Speeder Alternates -  Regular, Tornado, etc.
- IG heavy weapons stand
- metal infantry
- New Capitolis Imperialis
- Orky orbital lander: described as a huge Orky Thunderbird 2
- Orky submersible from Armageddon-3 lore
- Ork Trukk
- SM dropship
- Supagun and SupaZap gun
- SupaStompa

Plus what hasn't been proposed for models, but exists in E-A:

- Ork Bommas
- SM Hunter AA vehicle
- The whole range of IG PDF vehicles (arty, tank, etc.)

Plus what we have seen:

- All the existing forgeworld goodies
- Chaos bikes
- Chaos Dreadnoughts
- prototypes for Forgeworld Tyranids
- Rhino Mk. II
- SM landspeeder
- Test metal infantry
- Whatever is ressurected from the Epic40k plastic infantry sprues
- Whatever is ressurected from the metal Epic40k line

What am I missing guys?

Shalom,
Maksim-Smelchak.

I think you missed the re-worked Infantry plastics. Perhaps the greatest thing to happen to Epic:A!!! I just hope they keep the price down...

Cheers

So this is what's proposed this round for Epic:

- FW Ork moving forts (Battlefortresses?)

I was wondering if these (the forts and battlefortresses) may be different things...

possibly...

as for what's missing, what about the (large) Ork Submersible?

Jimbo,

Did they ever say they were going to make a model for the large Ork submersibles?

Shalom,
Maksim-Smelchak.

I think you have the list correct Maksim, but only time (Jervis's whims, & Fanatic's budget) will tell.  Yes Jimbo, I think the moving Fortress is a Battlefortress too, as Maksim listed.  And the rumor of the Ork Amph/trac continues to intrigue me, but for now it is still in Nessie's realm ... ???

Perhaps if you had a beach scenery board. Or if it has wheels to come onto the shore? It would be an odd model to use. They should stick to more "normall" stuff.

Cheers
