Here is one. I went by a friends on Sunday and realized as we were talking he had his terrain organized in boxes by Era and scale. He had a box for 15mm ACW and a box for 15mm SciFi etc. When I asked to see his "Generic" box he looked at me like I was a freak.

So I am curious, do you try and keep your terrain seperated by scale or era?

Do you buy with an eye for more then one use?

How much do you try and keep the terrain as generic as you can, always, sometimes, never?

Well - very limited terrain - all my storage is taken up by models, and I don't have any space for gaming here at home, so...

This DOES mean that I try to keep my terrain generic, however -
Epic scale is never used for 40K or vice versa.
WHFB is used for 40k, but and sign of techno stuff would prevent the opposite.

Heh.  We use any and all terrain, for any scale.  My epic pieces have been used for Necro games, and vice versa.  I'll throw anything on the table if it looks good.  :D

It's all in one box.

I play mostly 6mm, so everything is bought/built with that in mind.  Scale-neutral pieces are used for bigger-scale games.

I build a lot of sci-fi-oriented terrain (tank farms, bunkers, craters), but I have enough non-specific stuff to do fantasy and I have no hesitation whatsoever at using typical fantasy stuff like castles and temples and whatnot for Epic terrain.

ALL my terrain is for Epic. I store it by location ... desert, jungle, Ork, Etc. ... :)

Hi Guys,

I have a number of different terrain boxes:

- 6mm Polar (It will probably be renamed 6mm Hoth terrain in the near future... )
- 6mm Jungle (Most of my Vietnam terrain is here... )
- 6mm Agriworld
- 6mm Mars Forgeworld
- 6mm Ruins
- 6mm Bridges & Harbors
- 6mm Industrial Terrain
- 6mm Residential Terrain
- 6mm Historical Terrain (Anything distinctly not modern that doesn't fit elsewhere)

I also have a few boxes that just say 6mm Scenery for stuff that hasn't found a home elsewhere yet.

Shalom,
Maksim-Smelchak.
