Hi there,
wel, this is warhamer fantasy question. I am currently working on a High Elf chrace themed list. Chrace is the northernmost region of ulthuan, the HE island and one of the wildest areas there. One of the features of the region is that is the dwelling place of the White Lions of Chrace. Those are huge felines that roam the mountains and they are dangerouns predators. The white lions of chrace are elves that have tracked down and hunted down one of those mighty creatures and some of the stronger elves in ulthuan.
Now, my weird idea is that I designed a new character type, the Aldarorier (sigular, Aldaror?) that means Foresters in Quenya. They are basically portrayed as elves with a strong connection with their realm and so they can win the trust of a white lion instead of hunting them down. Theu are more or less like a HE version of the Jedi in the way that I designed them. The result is that they ride white lions in battle. In game stats they are heroes riding great eagles and armed with bows and lances (and a chariot, for the "padawan").
Now, I need a suitable miniature for them. I have thought about the reaper lions to represent the mount, even if they are somehow awkward when it comes to fisiology: they have the same problems that the GW steeds have: they would have fallen down if they were trying to move with the legs in that position. My question is that if anybody knows of suitable lions to be used here. I have thought about going to toys'r'us to check for zoo lions as well, but a pewter lion would have more feeling to me at least. Does anybody know about suitable lion pewter minis, or am I struck with a search for zoo models? Thx for the imput in advance
Regards,
Xavi

Good reasoning. I didn't make it so thx fo pointing it out
I like those lions. As you said, pitty they sold out. I suppose I will try to email them about them none the less to add myself to the "we would like those models recast" crowd
Cheers,
Xavi
