So buy the one that's actually in scale for your 15mm stuff anyway, the 1/100 version.
I'm considering getting several of the 1/144 versions for AW:C21 games.
Yukikaze is available on Amazon.com (link to product search), and the cost per-disk used is pretty reasonable. If you like a mix of mind-blowing air combat scenes and combat psychology, the story is tough to beat. I think there's a fourth disk due out, but I'm not sure (it's taken 3 years to get the first 3 disks, almost 2 years from 1st to 2nd, 9 months to the 3rd). If you watch the series, you'll understand why they call the 'Mave' design the queen of the wind. That plane is ... mindblowingly maneuverable, to say the least. The second disk has Yukikaze showing off, intercepting 3 attack craft before they can hit a carrier, by chasing them down as the attackers break Mach 3 close to the surface. Then Yukikaze lands on the carrier, without using either an arresting hook, or crash barrier. The take-off after some political wrangling is ... impressive, and further drives home the point about how much more advanced Yukikaze's technology is than the Japanese Maritime SDF. Timeline-wise, I think it's about 2040 or so. The JMSDF carrier-based aircraft look like they're derived from the F22 and F35, so it's pretty safe to say that those planes have been retired.
And yes, a Supersylph is teh sexxay. I just wish they would also make some Sylphids (actual fighters from the story. Yukikaze is a TARPS bird!)
