Reaper Aircraft

So with the Reaper Aircraft going to true N scale (10mm)

Will they stop selling their smaller ones?

Just wondering

Most likely, since that seems to be what happens when a company changes scale (DP9 and Heavy Gear started out in HO scale, then went to 1/144, and the old scale Gears haven't been in production in years).

I don't think there'd be a lot of demand for the old scale necessarily (although I might be forced to acquire a few for conversion pieces... The Ghast and the Fenri look about right for Vulture/Valkyrie stand-ins, and the true-scale Hedgehog might make a passable THawk variant  ).

My understanding is that they will continue to sell the smaller versions.  When I get the chance I'll search through their boards and double check.

Linky Link

That's a link to the guy that runs Reaper's store (physical outlet at the factory and webstore) and pretty much their mouthpiece on most issues stating that there are currently no plans to discontinue the smaller sized aircraft.

Hi Luis,

The N-scale aircraft are an expoerminet and partially the result of enough begging by the CAV community.

Both scales are planned to coexist for the time being.

*** Have you checked out the large-scale Silent Death sculpts? ***

Shalom,
Maksim-Smelchak.

Could those be used for 15mm at all?  I like the designs, for certain.

Hi Andreas,

As 10mm models... they'd be a bit small for 15mm, but you could do it if you wanted to.

*** Are you interested in 15mm sci-fi? ***

I have some stuff I'd like to trade or even give away.

Shalom,
Maksim-Smelchak.
