Hello guys,

Here is my lastest work.  My gaming Club started it's WWI air campaign again and this time I'm flying my own planes.

We started early in the air war in Jan 1916.  So we all scambled to get our Fokker EIIIs and other suitable early Allied planes.

For my British pilot I choose this fragile looking ride.  The Airco DH 2.  It's a decent plane for the time, but the British did fly it way too long.

This was my first real model in 17 years and my first WWI plane ever.

I'm happy with the result but i did learn a lot.  I also learned I hate struts...evil things...

I have some shots here for your enjoyment and I do hope you like them.

The scale is 1/72

Take Care.  See you in the sky...

To answer V question we did score a kill in the first game even thought it was a shared kill.

The Pfalz E.IV we hit exploded in spectacular fashion.

Of course the Lewis gun is a real pain to deal with.  You get very few burst before being forced to reload.  Makes flying dangerous when you have to relaod and deal with the enemy.

Very spiffy Old Boy - a wonderful crate for its time
...and yes, flown for far too long as "Bloody April" showed....
